Today I thought I would cheat and just post some lyrics to one of my favourite songs. It is sung by Nicole Nordeman on the CD Sing Over Me. This is actually the song that I'm planning on singing at my husband's funeral (you know, when I'm 90). But although that is planning for the future, the song is so appropriate for today. There are a few people I know who read this blog that may need to hear these words today too. If you are reading this and I don't know you, I would love to hear why you can resonate with the truth that Lord, "You Are Good"

I'm sure you are like me and can attest to the fact that somedays it is easy to see and feel that God is good. Somedays it is a struggle to really agree to that. But we have Father's Word as a promise that He is in control. He is good. He has a plan and a purpose for our lives that is for our good and His glory. Lord, today let me rest in the knowledge that the days You have ordained for me are right. Help me to stop struggling between what You have for me and what I think I want. Let every breath I take in truly be filled with gratitude for who You are and how You uphold me. And let me awaken every morning ready to walk in Your ways, not mine.
