No don't get excited, I didn't mean time for baby to arrive. I'm not in labour. It is Carnival Time! I'm looking forward to getting school done this morning with the kids so that I can justify a long cup of tea and some good reading this afternoon. I quickly glanced over the entries and they sound good! Some math articles are catching my eye today among other things. When I find my favourites, I'll list them here. If you find some favourties of your own, let me know!
So sit back and read the 109th Carnival of Homeschoooling. Thanks to Life on the Road for hosting this week. She is as prego as I am and still got around to all this organizing. She deserves a MEDAL!!! Please remember to leave comments on the blogs you read to let them know you found them in the carnival and appreciate their hard work!
We do Nature Journals just like this except we are using Christian Liberty Press Nature Readers as our source of sketching/journalling inspiration. It is such great easy way to bind a book and add or remove pages as necessary.
Our children are always wanting to "sell things" and I am so often feeling overwhelmed with my own "stuff" that to encourage them to follow that entreprenurial spirit is exhausting. This was a great reminder to push through and get them to carry on down that road.
This is too much. Please read this and the article she links to. Whatever happened to training your children to do what they ought to do just because they ought to do it?
I just enjoyed this one. An unexpected learning opportunity is always fun.
What a clever little girl here.
And our girls have always loved writing even before they could spell well and this post is a good reminder to keep it up and then some.
And DON"T read this one, unless you need a good kick in the pants like I do (I did tell you I finished school before sitting down and reading right?)
This, however, is my absolute favourite post of the carnival, I believe. I really needed to read this today. You should really read it.
Well that's where I'm at so far. More to come I'm sure. Enjoy! |
