and in a BIG way, too! mandy has a book report due on thursday. but that poor girl cant write one to save her life! she can tell you each and every minute detail of her story nearly verbatim. but to get her to condense it...  forget it. its all or nothing for her and tonight it brought her to tears. i asked her all kinds of very leading questions. i even got her daddy asking her about the story but no matter how we worded our questions or what we asked she couldnt give us a summary. and we've been working on it for weeks.

so now we're down to 2 days and ya know what? i put the poor girl out of her misery and i wrote the dumb thing for her! NOW before you get your feathers all in an uproar, it isnt as bad as it sounds. she KNOWS the story. and shes following a format given by her teacher but she just had a couple pages too many. its supposed to only be 4 paragraphs. i just helped her eliminate a few words here and there and re-word a phrase or two. thats all.

so there you go. my big confession for the day.
