Front side:
mandy came to me last week and showed me this feather she found. sadly, the pics dont really show the depth of the color. the quill is BRIGHT butter yellow. and the yellow on the back side is VERY iridescent and when its turned back and forth in the light the yellow covers more of the back.
Back side:
through some of our own research, we came up empty handed, and with a little help my our friends (willis!) we were able to determine that this feather came from a Northern (Yellow-Shafted) Flicker. now, THATS cool! :o)
