Apr. 3, 2009 The piano exam...
.......went alright. All was fine untill I played a peice called 'Happy Song.' I guess I accidently played the song wrong - twice. Oh well, I'll just have to wait untill the report sheet and certificate comes in from the examiner. Then I'll see what my marks were. I never was quite right with Happy Song, for some reason. Some times I played it right, other times at my piano teacher's house it went, well, I don't know what happened. I thought at the exam I would never play the peice right, untill, it suddenly did! (For once, LOL!) I'll be doing Grade 1 in June. Well, thats all for now! ~Beth~ |

Jan. 15, 2009 Things I've been doing.....and an Award
Hi,
I have started my Grade 1 on the Piano so I've been busy. I've also been digging over a bed full of weeds and dead plants from this winter and might plant carrots or something this summer. One of our next door neighbours have a horse I ride him 2 or 3 tines a week. I'm learning to walk and trot and do a bit of canter it is lots of fun and trot is very bouncy! Coby is a cross breed with a Cob and a Thouroughbred! I groom him and Max and help Ellen muck out two stables. There is a
donkey 10 months old to keep Coby company. He is soooooo cute and fluffy and he still has his baby fur on! The girl who is letting me ride him is called Ellen.
Here is a photo when I got on. He feels very big to be on....if I had a horse it wouldn't be as big as him! I would probably have a pony or something smaller.
Ps. I also got an Award from NaeNut. Thanks!

Mar. 29, 2008 Another sewing project.
I have been doing lots of things and writing the posts on it that I forgotten to do Sarah's tag. :-D
Last night while my brothers where out at the Youth Fellowship, I decided to do my horse cushion. It only took about an hour (I think it was round about there ) and I finished it before they came home. I will put some photos on this post later of it.

I've finally got around to writing my story for CJs blog giveaway.
Here goes.
One day Amanda, her friend Mark and Amanda's dad went fishing. They all walked up the deck and sat down on the camping chairs. "Hey Dad" Mark hollered. "Can you help me get the hook on?" "Sure!" came the reply. While his Dad was getting the hook on and getting the line set up Mark wondered if he could balance on the edge of the deck. I wonder how deep the water is. he thought. He got out a stick and poked it in the water. As he was doing so, he sliped on a banana skin and lost his balance and fell with a huge splash! "Help!, help!" he called. He felt something tickle his toes. It was a big fish. "Coming now!" his dad shouted. "I didn't expect you to fish with your feet."

This morning and yesterday we say a water vole. At first every one thought it was a big rat but then searched in and saw that it might be a water vole. Well, we saw it again today. Here is a slide show of it. It might live in the ditch beside our garden because it keeps getting scared off and darts in to the ditch. It is attracted to our bird feeder 'cause the seed keeps falling off and it eats it.

Mar. 18, 2008 Horse Riders Manual
|
Yesterday my Mum went shopping and bought me a really good book called Horse Riders Manual. It tells you how to take care of a horse/pony. And it teaches you how to jump horses, take care for if it is sick, how to put on a saddle and bridle with the bit, what sort of places to keep it, how to plait the mane and the tail, what brushes you need it brush its coat, the Golden Rules of what to feed it and what not to feed it, how to sit properly in the saddle, how to wash the saddle and bridle, what to wear at a local show, and what sort of things you can do at a local show such as: jumping all the jumps without knoking them down and without your pony refusing, best riding pony, best family pony, and there is 'Handy pony' is an obstacle course where you have to complete games such as walking over a plastic sheet; hanging washing on a line; posting a letter; dismounting doing a task; walking past scary things, all while handleing your pony!! For some show classes it says, "you would stand a better chance for winning if you plait your ponys tail and mane." There is also some more like: veterny pony, and 'best pony kept out at grass' . It tells you what to do if it gets:
Worms
Warble flys
Bots
Ticks
Laminitis
Mud fever
Sprains
Curb
Soft swelling
Thrush
Navicular disease
Seedy toe
Sweet itch
Ringworm
And rain scagld and lots more!
