Beth Yada Homeschool Group, Trenton OH

Mar. 2, 2009 - About our group...

What's in a name?  The name Beth Yada means House of Learning.  Our mission is to encourage and support  homeschoolers  in our area with a positive christian group to meet and share learning experiences together.

Our group meets Thursdays throughout the school year from September - April, with a year end presentation night for children to showcase learning and talent.  Our classes include two separate hours of class time, with 1/2 hr of gym time.

Class groupings are:  preK - 2nd;  3rd  - 5th gr;  5th  - 7th gr;  and 8th - 12th grade.  An overlap of 5th grade this year allowed several families that have children close in age to have a choice for their child to be in an age group with a sibling.

Beth Yada meets at Edgewood Baptist Church on RT 73 in Trenton, OH.  Our group includes families  from Trenton, Oxford, Hamilton, Middletown, Germantown, Lebanon,  Carlisle, Franklin, Monroe, and Liberty Twp.

Our goal is to be affordable to the homeschooling family.  Participation cost is minimal  per child to cover operating expenses.  Each class has minimal fees based on paper copies and other supplies as needed.  We rely on parent participation - our parents are our teachers.  We strive to keep the participation/teaching time fair to all.
