My aunt and uncle went to the Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo (from The Little Zoo That Could show on Animal Planet). They sent me this cool shirt because they know I love tigers. I love it! I hope you like it too. They sent my brother and me other stuff too - he got a wolf shirt and a wolf puzzle, I got animal pencils (I shared them), postcards, a lion folder, a tiger folder, and a wolf folder. It was a fun present to get in the mail!
Yesterday we went to the zoo where we have a membership. Sometimes they have some small creatures out that you can get up close and personal with. Yesterday's was .......
Any guesses what this is?

A phython!
I still can't believe I touched it! It felt pretty smooth. I hope everybody likes this.
Last weekend my dad made a couple of basic bird feeders to hang from the two big oak trees at our front porch. Some birds have been coming by and the squirrels have been getting into one of them. Here are some pictures.
We think this is Mrs. Cardinal
Here is Mr. Cardinal
This is a male red bellied woodpecker
A squirrel trying to get into this feeder - look hard because he kind of blends with the tree
It's a lot of fun looking out the windows all day watching for birds. A blue jay has been coming and stealing our cat's food on the porch but we haven't gotten a picture of it yet. It flies away too fast.
We have some new duck visitors to our pond. We first saw them this past Saturday and they have been coming every day. They are very shy. We can't get close enough to identify what kind of ducks they are. We looked in our bird guide and they kind of look like female mallard ducks but it says they are not in Florida this time of year. They also look like mottled ducks. I wish we could get closer or had binoculars. We like to watch them swimming around the pond and sitting on the dock. Yesterday it looked like they were taking baths and they were flapping all over the place. It was funny.
We all wish they would decide to stay here and live in our pond.
