Has been a long while i suppose...
HI all , or those who read such things..as anyone who has been reading this blog knows i have been having health issues. well last monday i got the news that i have cancer. Endometrial cancer to be exact. they will be removing my uterus next month and then doing tests to see how far it may have spread. this is not the words a young mom for four kids wants to hear but hear it i did. I am getting by one day at a time somedays i do nothing but cry, some days i am up beat and it doesnt bother me as much. more than anythign lately i am so extemely tired.. i have trouble lifting my arms for long periods and doing anything really. on top of the cancer i have a very annoying hernia that will need to be repaired at the same time. it is painful and keeps my stomach in knots most of the time. i have fodun this week i am dropping some pounds.. i have wanted desperately to lose weight but i dont think i ever thought it would be this way..

.. we still try and do school daily some days more gets done than others.. some days if it is pretty i take the girls and we head to the outdoors to just see God's wonder and enjoy the day. they are such good girls and help me so much. i dont think they realize quite how sick i am but maybe that is a good thing. I have hope and Faith that i will be healed and God will use this time for His good. I like to think He doesnt give me anything i cant handle..some days i am not so sure though..

I have lots of friends praying for me. that is conforting to know. He hears my prayers i know and He knows the desires of me heart so i find lots of comfort in that as well. well it is late i need to got to bed.. i will try and update more often for those that are reading... Nicole

I'm so sorry to hear about your cancer, and I will be praying for you! I wish I had the perfect words to say. I am reading a wonderful book that may be an encouragement to you. It is entitled "When Your World Falls Apart" by David Jeremiah. He takes you with him through his journey as he battled cancer. It has been an encouragement to me with my recent Multiple Sclerosis diagnosis. He writes, "God never allows pain without purpose." God has a purpose for what you are going through. It would be so much easier if He would send us an email explaining it, but that wouldn't give us the opportunity to trust Him & have faith. Dr. Jeremiah begins the book with this poem...
"A Bend in the Road"
by Helen Steiner Rice
"Sometimes we come to life's crossroads
And view what we think is the end.
But God has a much wider vision
And He knows that it's only a bend--
The road will go on and get smoother
And after we've stopped for a rest,
The path that lies hidden beyond us
Is often the path that is best.
So rest and relax and grow stronger,
Let go and let God share your load,
And have faith in a brighter tomorrow--
You've just come to a bend in the road."
You can probably find it at the library or at www.cbd.com
I'm going to check your blog & read your updates when you feel like writing them. I truly am sorry for what you are going through. I know that your biggest concern is for your kids, and I'll be praying for them as well!
In Christ,
Stacey

I'm so sorry to hear about your cancer! I will certainly be praying for you and for your family! I enjoyed reading a bit about your life. Your girls are beautiful!! And I like the new house too. I too have just started an in home daycare (over here they call it 'childminding') and had trouble getting started! I think it takes time for word to spread. I'll be back to see you again soon! - Deedee (in the UK)

I'll be adding you to my prayers. I have been battling cancer for the past 11 years (since DS was a year old) - I know what you are going through and pray that the Lord will send his healing Spirit to guide your doctors in their work. It is my Ds who has been my biggest help in all this - children are such a gift! Special hugs to you all

So sorry you are going through this.
Praying for your healing and peace as you wait and believe.
On the issue of iron... I use Shaklee brand. It has vitamin C already in it. I don't know if you have ever tried it, but my friend and my sis-in-law have both had iron problems - where it has gone to seriously low levels- and the docs were astounded at how the Shaklee brought up their levels. Just a thought.
As far as homeschooling: This is the awesome thing about God's plan for homeschooling...Life happens. We can make it what it is... a living, learning experience. You, by virtue of this dreadful time, have an opportunity to share and teach your children a lot about a loving, healing God who is in control under every circumstance. A God who created the world and all that is in it.
You will live more and learn more as you teach out of life than out of workbooks.
If you want some encouragement, visit Heather's blog.
http://www.especiallyheather.com/ She just found out she has brain cancer. Read her entries and the story about her little girl. I am in awe at the faith of women during such struggles.
May you find His blessings during this time!!
Blessings-
Jacque

I am so sorry to hear your news and as I have been going through some health issues that past few months and face surgery in May to have some tumors removed I know the uncertainty that you face. I will be praying for you and believe that God is still in the business of healing today. I pray that the cancer is contained and can be easily removed and that God's grace and peace will be upon you in a tangible way. God bless you as you walk this road and may God grant you immeasurable strength to get through every minute of each day.
