Better Left Unsaid

Landed and Doing Fun Stuff Now
Waving goodbye to the train was wonderful back of train but here we were in Orlando and it was cold!  The wind was blowing and it was spitting rain.  I was thinking about the shorts, sandals and bathing suit jammed into my bags.  It was depressing until we heard that it was 20 degrees and snowing back in West Virginia...somehow the misery of my friends and family back home made me feel much better. I'm so shallow.
The kids in my husband's class have been great .group at space center  Today was spent at the Kennedy Space Center and we had the tickets that get you everything included  except for lunch which was the usual $3.50 for a bottle of water and sure hope you aren't that hungry unless you're very rich kind of place.
Seeing the earth and the heavens through the eyes of astronauts leaves very little doubt that there had to be a Creator of such immense beauty and complexity.  Man works so hard and builds such elaborate machines and we hardly  penetrate the smallest part of the galaxy.
No pool tonight but all is right in the heavens.

woo hoo. No more train.....for a couple days that is. It sounded rather harrowing.

Anything space related makes me feel mindful of Him, as well as the crazy, funky animals on this planet. Like those odd things in the Marianna Trench? Get out! There MUST be a creator for those things. And he just loves it!

Jan. 26, 2007 - Amtrak to Orlando

Posted by MaxwellAcademy

I wrote Amtrak to Orlando nearly 10 years ago (where has the time gone?!). We left out of Pittsburgh, which was a 2 hour drive from our home. Then on getting there, the train was held up in Cincinatti for 4 hours! One plus, they upgraded us for free to a sleeper car, however, that just spoiled us, so we upgraded at our own expense for the ride home! I loved the train ride though and the food they serve is wonderful!

Neat! We were just in Orlando a few days ago! It was all the way in the 40s. Brrr.

I'm so insanely jealous! I think I should cook more brownies becuase I have now earned more by virtue of the fact I am here (a tiny jump from the hills of WV) and YOU are there, lucky snake!

Yes, 20 and snowing.

Gutsy move takin on all the 11th graders too. You just moved up yet another notch in my "hero" book!
