A great way to do some math.....

Anyone ever play the board game Payday???  I had it as a kid.....and our children got it for Christmas this year.......I knew it would be good for some math, but last night as Rosie and I were playing it, I realized that it is much better than I thought (even though we had already played several games since Christmas) ....Rosie was the banker and she got some great practice counting money back and forth....plus as you travel through the month of play, each space has something slightly different to do.....you learn to pay bills at the end of the month, after receiving your salary.  You also land on spaces that help w/ other math skills as well.....like, multiplication.....I had been slightly disappointed earlier in the day yesterday, because we didn't get as much math done as I thought we should have...and getting her to do the little bit that we did get done was a real struggle...but later, in the evening, when we sat down and played a game, I realized that we were doing more math and we were both having fun while doing it....
