Our first homestudy visit was today! Our social worker, Linda, was very nice and very easy to talk to. She toured the house but didn't inspect every little corner and closet like I was afraid of. The kids did an awesome of helping me clean up!! She asked basic questions about the children, personalities, etc. and reviewed the adoption process. We've decided to submit our paperwork to adopt a single boy about 3-4 years old. However, if he comes with a little sister, we won't complain

This is getting exciting!! Our homestudy should be complete in about a month. Then, our dossier is compiled and sent to Ethiopia. We hope to have the referral of our son by summer!
