Our Irish Twins
For the first 5 years I didn't know we had Irish Twins. In May of 2004 we were flying out to KS and a lady on the plane went on and on about the children. We have always been asked if Sam and Bethany are twins. This lady was no different. We told her no they were not. She inquired further about their age etc... She then replied "Oh, you have Irish Twins" Oh okay. That's news to me. She went on to explain that Irish Twins are siblings that are born within 12 months of one another. Ever since hearing that Bethany and Sam have always shared with everyone that they are Irish Twins. They often say "We wish we were real twins" So here are our Irish Twins when they were both 1.
I will have to search around for a better picture. Sam loved his blankie. It went with him everywhere. In this picture, Bethany just turned 1 and Sam was going to be turning 2 in eight days. So for 8 days every year they are the same age.
And here they are now:
While Bethany is taller, she is the younger of the two. Everyone always says she looks much older than her age.

Here they are playing Wii:

Hmmm That picture didn't turn out very well. I must have had my settings wrong on the camera.
It is a joy being the mommy of Sam and Bethany. All of the children are close but Sam and Bethany are especially close.
Bethany is 10 and Sam will turn 11 tomorrow.
Share a Blessing!

My Bethany and Sam are very close too!
Why didn't I realize until now that we both had a Bethany and a Sam?
Bethany leaves on Monday for 10 weeks with Worldview Academy. Daily I hear Sam ask Bethany to please stay home. They will surely miss one another!
Happy Day!

My Keianna and Keegan are 13 months apart so not quite Irish twins, but close. It is fun seeing the relationships when they are so close in age!
Your children are so beautiful, and their hearts shine through their smiles!
