Blessed Beyond Measure

From My Utmost for His Highest Daily Devotional

Before God becomes satisfied with us, He will take everything of our so-called wealth, until we learn that He is our Source; as the psalmist said, "All my springs are in You" (Psalm 87:7 ). If the majesty, grace, and power of God are not being exhibited in us, God holds us responsible. "God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you . . . may have an abundance . . ." ( 2 Corinthians 9:8  )— then learn to lavish the grace of God on others, generously giving of yourself. Be marked and identified with God’s nature, and His blessing will flow through you all the time.

I can definitely say "Amen" to Oswald Chambers on today's devotional. It speaks to me about being generous with our lives, our time, and our $$$, and holding nothing back.
David & I have always given way more than 10% of our $$$ to the church, and God has blessed us so richly. We know that all we have is his, it's not ours to store up and keep for another day, it is to be used TODAY in His Kingdom. We keep some $$ in savings, but we don't store it up like most do, and you should see how time, and time again, God has poured His blessings on us. Checks come in the mail for no reason at all, David will get more patients, which results in bigger paychecks, or we will get a great deal on a service, or a need that needs be met.

This has happened OVER and OVER again in our ten-year marriage. I want to exhort you, my sisters, to not hold back your time, your $$$, or your life from God. Give it ALL away, and you will be given back 100 fold by the Lord!
