Three Weeks Into It
We are almost finished with our third week of school.
I have been very pleased with the children's ability to do school, and with their level of excitement geared toward it!
Caleb is coming along in reading, and has begun to read his very first book.
Macie's third grade material is fairly challenging, but she is doing quite well.
The schedule is working out, and I'm feeling like I can manage a third grader, first grader, a preschooler, five acres of land, and a 2000+ sq. ft. home, plus cook 21 meals a week! (And, let's not forget the laundry!)
It can be overwhelming to think that ONE PERSON can do all of these tasks, without help. But, take it one day at a time, and just "do the next thing" and before you know it, you'll be on your way to doing WAY more than you thought possible.
It all starts with getting up early for me. Right now it's 5:24, and I will begin my morning workout at 6:00, shower, then make breakfast and get all the children up.
David's back is still hurting pretty bad. He takes his first shot next Wednesday.
We still haven't decided whether to go on vacation or stay here, and fix up our land a little. Right now it's a JUNGLE...It's a toss-up really.
I'm all for a vacation though!
