Mar. 3, 2006 - I've been so blessed
I have been praying for guidance in our homeschooling. It is so easy for me to get overwhelmed when thinking about curriculum. There are so many wonderful choices we have available, it boggles my mind at times.
I've been really praying for God to lead me-- to show me what HE wants me to do- in everything-- having a close abiding relationship with Him, being the wife and mom He wants me to be, making our homeschool what He wants it to be. How can I bring glory to Him? Can school actually be a little fun too?
Well, yesterday I ordered one unit from Heart of Wisdom ( Ancient Egypt) to get our feet wet. It is a little scary to venture out and try a different method from what we've been doing. I printed out my ebook and it looks great. I still don't know how long I should take on each lesson but I'll figure it out. I know God is leading us 
. The resources I ordered should be coming in next week.
This morning I checked my blog and there was a comment from Cindy Rushton.
I won a contest I didn't even know she was having! 
I am teary eyed right now and I know this will be such a blessing to me - and to my family. I'm really grateful and so surprised! THANK YOU SO MUCH, CINDY!
Our God is so great and so full of surprises, isn't He?

Oh! Congratulations on winning the contest! How exciting!
And also exciting is that you are adventuring with a different type of curriculum. That's great! I've not used Heart of Wisdom, but I've heard a lot of great things about it. I hope that you enjoy it. I also hope that your "Keeping Our Children's Hearts" book is a blessing to you and pray that things will get better and that you all will "...continue to grow in the grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ..." (2 Peter 3:18). Praying for you.

Don't you love when God sneaks things in on you? What a great surprise! Congrats on winning.
I know what you mean about being nervous about trying new curriculums. We're going back to hs'ing next year after a year off, and my brain is exploding trying to decide what to do.
