Feb. 18, 2009 - How I Came To Be A Writer!
Although I didn't write a book when I was 8, I guess it all started then........ I had always been a good writer of poetry, little tiny stories and other things. My best subject was Language Arts even when I was little and in public school. It all started out when I played games with my brother, Ariclegomaniac to pass the time. We called them "acting games" where we would act out movies, books, and make up our own stories for our games, but acting out our own games didn't start until I was say....9 or 10? We would play these games and we would twist around the stories of Lord of the Rings (the movies), Star Wars, Dungeon Siege (the video game) and Bionicle. Then we started to make up stories and act them out such as Cat Island, Scott O'Brian, Magic Island and Dog Island. Those stories started to evolve as the time went by. I was around 12 or 13 when we would act out the evolved stories in which I called The Time Master's Apprentice, Scott O'Brian and the Time Spinner. Later on we would mix other people's stories with our stories )such as Star Wars and Scott O'Brian, Pirates of the Carribean and Time Master's Apprentice.) Later I started to write down the ideas we had with our acting games and it started to be addicting to write books.
Time Master's Apprentice evolved into The Quest, Scott O'Brian and the Time Spinner evolved into The Secreat Portal. Cat Island stayed how it was. As the time went by we made changes in how we would do "acting games" we ended the acting of movies unless we wanted to do a "mix" and started to slowly and gradually change our own stories and slowly and gradually I became the Writer that I am... I am still not the best of writers and do wish I was as good as my friends in HSB. It has been a pleasure to ramble about how I became the Writer that I am! G'bye and "May fair winds follow you and the Author guide you!"
