Title: Hmm..... no idea - actually, I don't want I title!

Posted in Animal Pen

Hi!

Last Sunday (which was our Father's Day) we went to Chitchester (I think that is how you spell it) Dam. It was lovely. You drive through the mountains and then you go down past the dam water and into a little picnic area. You can go down the bank which is full of rocks and tree roots and - - - - - this cute little guy:

A bush turkey!

Here are some kookaburras (I think I might have spelt it wrong) that we saw:

And this is a photo of me and dad down the bank:

Well, after we had walked down the bank and back, we drove  over to the dam and walked the dam wall. It was ENORMOUS!! Much bigger than what I thought it would be, but - I don't think we got any photos of the dam!

Here are some kangaroo's we saw have a fight:

'Meet me in the pony paddock for a punch up at 8:00(am or was it 7:00am?)?' 'Alright - I'll be there!'

Funny?

That is SO neat that you saw those kangaroos! Now, I know that probably for you that isn't anything new, but here in America, the only place you see them is at the zoo : D

Also, the kookaburras were neat to see, too! We've listened to the "Patch the Pirate" "Down Under" tape several times, and there is a song in there that goes something like, "Oh you crazy, koo, koo, koo, koo, kookaburra bird..." I didn't realize for a while that it was a real bird : ) So anyways, it was fun to actually see a picture of one : )

Now, for the whole reason I came over here.... : D Your question for our blog button. It is just for anyone who would like to put it on their blog. You just put it in the sidebar of your template, wherever you want it : ) Is that what you mean? And don't you worry, we LOVE to be pestered with comments : D

Thanks for posting about your outing...I really enjoyed it!

Jessica

Hi Chantelle!!

What wonderful pictures!! I loved looking at them! I just told my mom last night that I would like a pet kanggaroo! But she said that wasnt possible! : ) How fun to see all those animals! I think I have seen (at a zoo or something) a wallaby but I'm not sure. I think I am going to come there and just stay there and watch all the fun animals and see you and your guinea pigs and coconut!! and dont forget Jack and Zoe and the rest!!
I hope all your animals are safe from the dingos! You better hide coconut then!!
I've got to go!

Wow, it looks like you had a lot of fun! Isn't it kind of strange that seeing Kangaroos is a normal thing for you, but it would be a new experience for me? Sorry, that's just a thought I had. :D

Even if we never do get anywhere with our books (which I'm hoping to change in November!), it's still fun for those first few chapters, isn't it?

Have a very bright, very cheerful day!

That would be strange to see kangaroos out in the wild! I guess your kangaroos are kind of like our deer. We see lots of those! :-)

Wow, I've never seen such a colorful turkey before! I live in the United States and we don't see any animals like that except at the zoo. I really like your blog and do you think I could add you as a friend?
Well i've got to go!
