I haven't posted in so long.....

Posted in Animal Pen

Hi!

Sorry that I haven't posted in ages...........and ages...........

It is nearly Christmas (I can't believe it) and we have been making Christmas presents and cards. We have already put up our tree a week or so ago.

We finished school last Friday, which was good, so we have lots of time (well not that much time) to make Christmas presents.

When we were putting up the tree, we were trying to find the tinsel, and when we finally found it, Coconut came and proptly sat on it, and did NOT want to get off!!

So cute!

Yesterday was really nice and cool, and we had a sprinkle of rain, which is good. Today also seems like it will be really cool which would be good because we have been having 45oC days which is really hot!

Oh, this is an award I got from 'IwriteforChrist' - thanks Raechel, sorry I took so long to put it up!

The 17 friends who I will give it to are,

1. Rebecca M, 2. IamLovable, 3. radientpurity, 4. Ponygirl97, 5. petlover, 6. farmgirls, 7. KathleenMckenzie, 8. Guineapiggal, 9. okiegirl, 10. heaven, 11. animalgirl08, 12. abby98, 13. AEG52998, 14. Suhaley, 15. hannahandsarah, 16. camdoodle12, 17. nanaieboo

Last night, mum went to shut the computer down - and this is what was staring her in the face:

That frog had such a fat belly!

Here are some photo's of our ponies: This is Zoe

'Aren't I the most gorgeous thing?'

'Just needed  a good stretch!'

This is Nikita (Nikki):

'Just scratching!'

'Hi!!'

There's nothing like a little personal space with Nikita!

This is Rosette:

'Nikita, will you please get your head out of MY bucket!'

'Zoe, no one will see me when the photo is taken, because you are taking up all the photo space.'

and this is one of my guinea-pigs, Chocolate Muffin (Muffin):

Title: Hmm..... no idea - actually, I don't want I title!

Hi!

Last Sunday (which was our Father's Day) we went to Chitchester (I think that is how you spell it) Dam. It was lovely. You drive through the mountains and then you go down past the dam water and into a little picnic area. You can go down the bank which is full of rocks and tree roots and - - - - - this cute little guy:

A bush turkey!

Here are some kookaburras (I think I might have spelt it wrong) that we saw:

And this is a photo of me and dad down the bank:

Well, after we had walked down the bank and back, we drove  over to the dam and walked the dam wall. It was ENORMOUS!! Much bigger than what I thought it would be, but - I don't think we got any photos of the dam!

Here are some kangaroo's we saw have a fight:

'Meet me in the pony paddock for a punch up at 8:00(am or was it 7:00am?)?' 'Alright - I'll be there!'

Funny?

Guinea-pig news + new template!

Posted in Animal Pen

Hi!

As you can see (hopefully) I have changed my template yet again but it is still the same blog: The Bonnet Club.

Well here is my news: Last weekend, Zoe, one of our miniature ponies, escaped into next door's paddock! We were looking all around for her and calling her and we couldn't see her anywhere then finally I looked across and there was ZoZo in next door's paddock pretending she wasn't there! She looked like she was thinking "O oh, I've been sprung! They have found me! I guess I better pretend to be a statue!!" it looked rather comical but it wasn't because we didn't know how she got out and whether or not she could get in! After a few minutes of us watching her and Zoe watching us watching her, she started running and managed to walk RIGHT THROUGH THE FENCE!!! We had to block it up because the fence ran over a ditch which Zoe managed to walk under! Right now the ponies are all in our 'house paddock' munching clover and grass and extremely happy!

Here is a photo of Zoe - the escape artist

Jack, waiting for his dinner!

And this cute little button, Coconut, is in the bottom half of the cupboard in my desk, which is her special place where she sleeps when I am doing my school work. Isn't she just adorable?!!!!!

Last week, we had lots of visitors! First, we had some friends up from Nowra who stayed a night and then my Nanna and Auntie Pam came up and they too stayed a night. On Saturday, (my Nanna and Auntie Pam were still here), another Auntie Therese plus my cousin Josh and his absolutely adorable baby sister, Lauren came up with my Poppy!

Guinea-pig news is that Weeker (who we afore thought was a girl) is definitely a boy and Caramel and Tinkerbelle definitely girls! I am very happy I only have to sell one of them, but I hate the thought of having to sell Weeker.

Well, I better go and have lunch now, we are having bread that I just made and left over sausages and chicken from yesterday's lunch.

Guinea-Pig News!

Posted in Animal Pen

Hello!!

Here are som cute pictures of my guinea-pigs. They are growing and now I have to separate Caramel and Peter Pan (who used to be Tinkerbelle, before I realised she was a he!) so we don't get lots of babies (though I'd like that!!). We are still keeping Weeker though, 'cause she is a girl.

So here are the photo's!!

Isn't Caramel just adorable, checking the temperature?

This is Peter Pan (a.k.a. Tinkerbelle) who is rather difficult to photograph but absolutely adorable.

And this little cutie is Weeker. Isn't she adorable?!!!!

Last photo is of the sweet peas we have growing. There is about eight different colours and they smell so good!

Do you like them?

WATOTO!! And Guinea-pig News

Posted in Animal Pen

OOOPS, I made some spelling mistakes and didn't relise - so I shall fix them up!!!

Hello everybody!

On Sunday we went and saw Watoto Children's Choir from Kampala Uganda, Africa! We had seen them before but that was a few years ago. They are SO good! They travel around the world singing and dancing to show everybody the love, hope and joy that they have found in Jesus and to raise funds and sponsors for Watoto Childcare Ministries. I brought a lovely neclace with little carved animals on it and a DVD with a documentary and a concert on it.

The Guinea-pig news is that little Ruth, the white alibino piglet that Muffin had,  died of a broken neck. We didn't expect that she would live - we hoped but she was very weak at birth and definately the runt of the litter. She was tiny, about half the size of Weeker, the big black piglet. I found her huddled in a little corner and when I picked her up, she couldn't hold her neck up. We think that Muffin or one of the other piglets trampled on her and accidently broke her neck. We had her in a box with a warm heat pack underneath and Ruth in a blanket but she kept wriggling around trying to get comfortable. When we held her in our hand and cupped her till she was in a more sitting position, she was happier and so we all held her until Mum was holding her at about 8:30pm Saturday 25/7/09 and she died in her sleep. All the others are all healthy and strong and Weeker and Caramel are on the plump side - Tinkerbelle is a normal size (hehe)!

Well, I better go now.

Lots of love from Chantelle xoxox
