Oct. 19, 2009 - Happy Fall!
Posted By Tami

It's fall in the beautiful foothills of NC. We are enjoying our schoolwork and getting out for the occasional field trip this fall. I am also a full-time college student. That is one of the reasons why I have not been writing on my blog very often.

Have a blessed day! Tami

Aug. 12, 2009 - Ready for school?
Posted By Homeschool Nations - Iowa in Homeschooling in Iowa

Hi Everyone - Hope you are all working or finished with your CPI form.  Remember, this year all CPI forms all over the state have to be submitted to the local school district by August 26th  NOT before the first day of school in your district as previous.

Forms can be downloaded in PDF format at www.the-niche.org or at HSLDA if you are a member.  If you want a form you can fill out on your computer, email me at     kidsrus @ louisacomm.net  (remove the spaces) and I will send you the forms.  I was unable to type into the PDF format, so I went to the trouble of retyping the forms for my own use, but I am willing to share,

One thing I think is very important is support and fellowship with other homeschool families.  Please join a local homeschool group or start one if there isn't one around or that has a different philosophy than you.  Homeschool support groups can be as simple as just meeting once a month to more active groups that have co-op classes, contests, etc. etc.  NICHE will direct you to local groups in your area that you can check out and contact; you simply have to ask them for the information.

Monday, August 3, 2009 - Summer Sewing Classes
Posted By Homeschool Nations - Connecticut

Hi Everyone,

I hope that your summer is going great and you are finding somethig fun to do inspite of this lovely weather we've had all summer.  I guess we needed this much rain.

How about some sewing lessons?

I have held sewing classes all summer long and there is still the month of August.  I have new classes and new prices in response to the shift in our economy.  Plus, I have new summer hours:

8:30am-1:00pm    Monday-Friday
4:00-9:00pm        Monday
6:00-9:00pm        Thursday

You can schedule your lessons at your convenience during those times.

Please take a look at my website for more information on classes offered at www.sewshouldyou.com.   Homeschoolers who take the entire 4-level course will receive a certificate and documentation for their portfolio and get 1/2 credit.

If you have any questions, you can email me at info@sewshouldyou.com.

I hope to hear from you soon.

Karlie Lebatique
