I am 13 years old and a loving Christian, homeschooled girl who loves to read books and is an Author, write letters and spend time with family and friends.I hope you enjoy it.
I love homeschooling too. And I will be writing my thoughts also.
Have you ever heard of the DIY Dish? Well, using the instruction that Kim and Kris (the identical twins that run the show) gave on their first episode, I made my very own, darling DIY Dish Double Layer Cake Pin Cushion! Behold!:
You can watch the episode right here:
I can't wait for next week and the next episode! If you aren't a big sewing fan, you can still make this pin cushion. You don't need to do one bit of sewing! Watch the above video and find out how. :-) I have a feeling that I'll be making a few more of these!
The twins also have a few other neat websites such as, http://www.youcanmakethis.com, http://www.swakembroidery.com/, and http://www.youcanquiltthis.com/. I've enjoyed browsing through all of them! If you don't really feel like spending money, they do have a few free things on there. I downloaded a free pattern for some really cute pillowcases. Now I just need to make them! :-D
Sorry I haven't been posting much, now I'm busy getting ready for my birthday party! And dear friends, if you know when my exact birth date was/is, please don't give a peep about it on here! We don't want anyone finding out and using it in a bad way!
Thank you for dropping by! I will have better posts soon!
Please also scroll down and also participate in my Wednsday What is it?! Before the 24th!
Hi everybody! Well, for Christmas we got a Trampoline, something I've always wanted! So last Monday, we set it up!! It's been really nice weather lately! (like in the low 60's and 50's!) Here's some pictures!
I also got a ballooon animal making kit form a Birthday party I went to as a favor! It is really fun! I did make some before, but took to long to take pictures so they went flat lol so I re-did them but they aren't as good. Oh well!
The easiest are dog's and giraffs. I have tried making a flower but you need to twist 4 of these ballons together! It's kinda hard!!
Well, that's all for now, Bye, and thanks for reading!!
Mar. 17, 2010~ Guess what! New stories about me and my friends! ~
Guess what! I'm real excited to learn that some of my adventures when I was little are going to be put into "Chapter books" for younger readers. So if you're not old enough for the Circle C Adventures, you will certainly be able to read the Circle C Beginnings. My adventures will have color covers and even pictures in all the chapters. The first book is called Pony Trouble. I can't wait until it comes out . . . next winter.
If you want to hear me talking about my adventures, listen to this:
Tuesday, March 16, 2010~ Photos and Paper clip puzzles ~
Wow, it's been 2 weeks since my last post! Before the very last pictures of our trip, here's a link. It's very addicting. You'll have to try it many times! http://www.hunkinsexperiments.com/pages/paperclips.htm I've discovered that you usually have to use a new strip of paper each time for it to work. Once you've mastered it, you can amaze your friends! (and hope it works while showing them. lol)
This first picture is some sort of Sand Piper that we saw while in CA. If you look closely you can see that there is something in it's beak. I got quite close for some of the pictures I took of him! (zoom came in handy too. :-D ) It was fun watching him get close to the water, and then run away again when the waves came. He was doing what we always enjoy doing! :-)
Then here is the Patrick. We saw this boat coming it towards the pier, and Dad told me to start filming because the guy wasn't cutting the engine and it looked as if they'd crash. But nothing happened so I deleted the video... I like this photo because the red boat adds such a splash of color!
Then lastly (I decided to skip the fourth one) is Betsy drawing her name in the sand. We all we having fun writing. Alison even wrote Gary Sally, but I couldn't get it in one photo. (it was a few days before my parent's anniversary)
I think that's it for now! I'm very sorry if you've emailed/commented/pm'd me and I haven't replied. I have felt like doing that kind of stuff much lately. I'll try to reply soon though!
After living in the lovely state of Kentucky for about eight months, our family is about to move on. Again. This time, things will hopefully be a little different, though.
We are moving closer to family, but we will also not be online as often, and when we will be online we'll want to spend that time contact family and close friends, rather than blogging. If I get the chance, I still do want to post the odd picture or whatever, but from now on, I wouldn't expect much out of this blog, if I were you.
It's kind of a shame, seeing as how I just started Poor Man Recipes, and all, but in one sense, it is kind of releasing to know that I won't have a blog that needs posting on.
So, farewell to all of my faithful readers. This blog has been fun, but it's definitely time to move on, and I am more than ready for it. See you around!
I just looked at my blog and saw my last post was in Novemeber. I actually thought it was longer than that! I don't even hardly remember posting about clogging like that. Well, while I'm talking about clogging, the classes still haven't started. I don't know when they will.
I go to church on some Sundays, but since we left our old church I hadn't been going on Wednesday nights. I'm not doing much lately as far as going anywhere, so when my friend invited me to church with her on Wednesday I decided to try it even though I didn't know many of the girls there. I don't know how long I've been going on Wed. now, but I like it a lot! I'm starting to know some of the girls there. LOL I'm pretty shy and quiet, but one night after our class was out and we were just hanging out I had a can of pop and got a sugar rush. I didn't seem so shy then because I was hyper (and because I was with 2 friends I already knew plus one other girl). I'm really only shy with people I don't know. I think I might be getting less shy now, but I'm still kinda quiet mostly because I don't always have a whole lot to say (you might think otherwise if you read all this LOL).
This Wednesday (March 10 I think) we had our class outside. A lot of people were wearing spring clothes and I was wearing long jeans and boots and had a jacket with me. I was afraid I overdressed or something, but then when we went outside and it started getting cooler, I wasn't so worried about it!
Casey has been going outside and staying out for probably 20 hours or more a day. If he goes out early morning, he won't come back until between 6 and 8 PM, and that's usually just to eat, then back outside, then back in to go to bed with me, then IDK my dad lets him in and out from there. He's afraid of the sun I guess! He's like a vampire LOL.
KC stayed inside all day today. Except earlier I took him out for a minute, but he wanted back in. That was before it started raining. When I was in my room dividing my allowance for tithe, and savings, and other stuff like that he came in my room and jumped on my bed to come see me. Then he plopped on the left side of me and layed by me, partly on my arm. He was so sweet!!! He was being cute, but I think he was trying to sneek some money (LOL Just kidding!).
This evening when mom and I were watching a movie, she was cuddling Case. He got down and got on the footstool. Then he flopped and moved again and started to lick, but he slipped off and fell on the floor! That was funny. It seemed like Oh hey buddy you're so cute! O! Where did you go?
I can't believe he went outside about an hour ago. It's storming now , and I could see the windows light up a lot when I was in the other room. I wonder if he's really scared. He is a cute scaredy cat.
I better go get ready for bed now, since I'm going to church tomorrow. It's a different one than I go to on Sundays. A bus comes around to get me and then after a few more stops we go to the church and then back to the bus. I ride on it for about an hour to get home since I'm almost the last one off/on.
Have any of you ever wondered about courtship vs dating? Well here are your answers.
When I was really little I told my mom that I couldn't wait till I was older and able to date. But she didn't seem too happy about that, and then she told me a little about courtship. I had no idea what she was talking about until I got a little older. And now that I've gotten older I've really started to look into the difference between dating and courting. Some of the things I have found out about both of them have been really life changing for me and so I have decided to put together this post about them.
Dating and it's problems
The main problem that I have with dating is that a boy and a girl are alone with no adult supervision.
Also in today's culture boys and girls in 6th or 7th grade are being dropped off at the movies or the mall and left unseupervised. They do it just for fun! I thought one of the reason people dated was because they were looking for the best marriage partner! Sarah Mally author of "Before You Meet Prince Charming " says, "If you look at the fruit of the American system of dating, there is reason to be seriously concerned. The majority of modern marriages end up in divorce. Few marriages are truly happy. And many enter into marriage with injuries, emotional handicaps, and scars from past dating relationships." I believe this is the truth, and that many people don't end up happy because they don't wait for the person God puts into their life. And when a person dates they are setting themselves up to fall spiritually, emotionally, and physically.
The Joys of Courtship
Many women and men who have waited for the right person to marry have had a truly joyful marriage and lifelong live for each other. I don't know if there are any troubles with courtship but I do know that it has many blessings. Several women who have dated and gotten married have said that there have been some difficult times in their life that have been emotionally stressing for them.
Now here's how it has works,
Boy meets girl and has an interest,
The young man who is interested in the young lady goes to her father and expresses his interest,
the father evaluates him and decides if he would like his daughter to see the young man,
once this is decided both families start to pray about this,
the young man comes calling on the young lady and they start to talk about their future with an adult in the room,
they begin to pray continually about God's will,
when they feel like God wants them to get married the man ask for the young lady's hand in marriage,
then comes the wedding bells, and a happy marriage ( not without struggles, but God always helps you along and love is always present in your life )!
Another joy of courtship can be that you can save your first kiss for your wedding day ( this is a good lesson in self control, because you will need self-control in your marriage).
I do hope this is a good post. I have gotten a lot of my information from my mother and from other young lady's sites. I would also recommend that anyone who reads this post should get Sarah Mally's book, "Before You Meet Prince Charming", this has been a good book for my growth in Christ, and it has convinced me to strive to have the very best marriage, because even though your thought of a perfect marriage seem impossible God can always take your breath away with what you wanted or even better, if you will just wait.
