I found this quote on the orginator of the Blogger Reflection Award. "this award should make you reflect on five bloggers who have been an encouragement, a source of love, impacted you in some way, and have been a Godly example to you. Five Bloggers who when you reflect on them you get a sense of pride and joy... of knowing them and being blessed by them. "
How cool is that? I love the fact that the person who created this award was (or is?) a teenager. How wonderful to do something with such far reaching effects as a teen.
My original thought on bestowing this award were Misty and HigherUpAndFurtherIn, however both have been recent recipients of this award. Well, the creator suggests that a person can deserve to be awarded multiple times; and that is certainly true in both of these cases. So those are my first two.
I have been very encouraged by the writings of PraiseHerInTheGates, a mama of seven who blogs as if she knows me! I only have four little ones; but we are committed to the same path PraiseHerInTheGates has chosen. It is not an easy path, and finding encouragement from other like-minded Mamas is a huge blessing. Thank you, especially for the Scripture. So, PraiseHerInTheGates is number three.
I am a new visitor to another blog which in a short time I have found inspiring and the concept of the blog is delightful! PraiseWorthyThings is my fourth nomination . Be sure to check out the untitled video posted on July 4th. No worries, you will not be sorry you view it!
My fifth, and final nomination is for a new blogger like me and dear friend from yahooland; whose recent posts include lots of lapbook pictures and inspiration to declutter along with her. I am definitely feeling a sense of pride and joy about "knowing" this blogger and watching her blog unfold and finding out what she inspires me to next time.... Harbor Light Academy
I'm glad you have enjoyed my posts. Now of course I need to stick with my plans to blog regularly. Its amazing that no matter how long your homeschool journey has been there are always new surprises and new lesson awaiting you on your next turn.
The bottom line is; We try not to insist on parent-led learning or gravitate toward child-led learning. We try instead to focus on God-led learning and ask for His input and perspective on every aspect of our home school. That way, when others fuss about what Dan and I are doing and make me second guess our decisions -- I can go back to our decision process and find God's fingerprints, reminding me that this is His way.
