Here's how it works: You post 10 books into the system as available. You get one credit just for listing these books you are willing to swap! You request a book with that credit. You don't pay anything, and in a few days, your first book arrives at the door. Someone requests one of your books. You wrap it in paper, and pay media mail postage to mail the book. You have another credit, and request another book; again paying nothing. You only pay postage on books you send out, usually about $2. You never pay postage on books you request. Everyone shares the books they no longer need; and everyone benefits. It's that simple!
(Using my referral link below will earn me one free book credit... This is another way you can earn credits!)
The bottom line is; We try not to insist on parent-led learning or gravitate toward child-led learning. We try instead to focus on God-led learning and ask for His input and perspective on every aspect of our home school. That way, when others fuss about what Dan and I are doing and make me second guess our decisions -- I can go back to our decision process and find God's fingerprints, reminding me that this is His way.
