Jun. 19, 2008 - Is America becoming a Socialist nation???
In 1937, Hitler said, "The youth of today is ever the people of tomorrow. For this reason we have set before ourselves the task of inoculating our youth with the spirit of this community of the people at a very early age, at an age when human beings are still unperverted and therefore unspoiled. This Reich stands, and it is building itself up for the future, upon its youth. And this new Reich will give its youth to no one, but will itself take youth and give to youth its own education and its own upbringing."
You can read an entire article on what happens when the governement mandates state education here.
Here is another quote from the article:
"The letter said local "youth welfare" offices' new authority includes "withdrawal of parental custody as one of the methods for punishing 'uncooperative' parents."
Wolfgang Drautz, consul general for the Federal Republic of Germany, has commented on the issue on a blog, noting the government "has a legitimate interest in countering the rise of parallel societies that are based on religion."
In my not so humble opinion, this is WHY home schooling is so important for challenging the culture. Children trained in liberty in all areas of their life will be adults who know and embrace liberty.

I do agree that homeschooling is a part of the answer. But, I don't think it is enough. For one thing, in just a few years, maybe even next year; we could lose our right to homeschool. Or, in a few more years, none of our graduates may be able to get a job because they are not in the government employment database, and when tested they will not pass the attitude measure. What has struck me most recently as I read None Dare Call It Education is that the secular humanists took over through becoming an elite group of textbook writers and "education experts" back in 1915 and slowly convinced the nation's teachers to believe white lies a little at a time. Many public school teachers who push socialism today are "Christian" and have been convinced that you can be a Christian and a humanist. It did take them seventy-five or eighty years to get us to an "almost socialist" state. I wonder if we started now with all of our graduates infiltrating the public school system and politics; what can be accomplished in seventy-five or eighty years? One kicker would be that each of our graduates would need to understand secular humanism and all of it's philosophies. I myself do not. Yet, I am trying to learn and teach my children.
And these things must pass.
I love my country. I support my troops, and those who serve.
BUT
I pulled my kids from public school because of the socialistic garbage they were shoving in their heads.
The 'institution' was stripping my son of his masculinity and elevating the girls to the "head".
The "institution" refused to tell the truth in history books, and just made up what sounded good as they went.
The 'institution' gently taught the children to hate God, hate our country, hate white people (and um, 99.7% of the kids in our particular school system, were, white) cause white people to have a guilty complex because of past transgressions, Hate our troops, Hate our freedom, Hate our way of life.........
The 'institution' elevated atheism, muslimism, buddhism, and every other 'ism' and refused even vehemently opposed anything of God, and to mention Jesus Christ? Well, that was cause for suspension.
Yes, your teachers are wooing the children to the fires of hell.Yes, your 'good chrisitan' teachers are doing it too.....
Jesus said: WIDE is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction.
Why is the gate wide and the road broad?
Because SO MANY are on it.
One lady in my Bible study group said this:
There will be a lot of "bad" people in Heaven, and a lot of "good" people in hell.
The bottom line is; We try not to insist on parent-led learning or gravitate toward child-led learning. We try instead to focus on God-led learning and ask for His input and perspective on every aspect of our home school. That way, when others fuss about what Dan and I are doing and make me second guess our decisions -- I can go back to our decision process and find God's fingerprints, reminding me that this is His way.
