I love this website and thought I would share it with you all. In our art studies I tend to "dwell" on the artists and art that I really love and only touch on those that don't inspire or excite me. This site is good for me because it has a pretty wide variety of artists and makes studying a piece interesting.
On the main page you will find thumbnails of works by various artists. Clicking on a thumbnail will take you to the main page for that piece. First you read the story about the artist and study the painting, then explore the links provided. After you study your piece, they have a worksheet and coloring page for you to print out. Lastly, they even have a jigsaw puzzle of each piece for your child to work on! It is pretty neat. Here is the link if you are interested in checking it out: Famous Paintings Art Appreciation I plan on studying one piece a week with my boys. Click here for some more of my favorite art links Enjoy! Sounds like a fantastic site-- I'm going to have to bookmark it to use later.
Thanks for stopping by my blog. :-) So did your boys whoop up on you on the country naming? I am proud to announce that I beat my jetsetting husband by one country. He named a ton that I had totally forgotten about. I just love a good quiz or contest-- I am such a nerd!
We are a homeschooling family raising 4 boys in Virginia. This blog is mostly about anything relevant to raising boys or homeschooling in general - but every once in a while I can't help but add some nonsense from our daily life.
