Apologia Science Zoology 3
Posted in Curriculum
I was so excited to see Apologia´s Exploring Creation series as the suggested science on AmblesideOnline. When we last homeschooled this was not the case.
Since it took about 5 weeks for us to get our book it was nice to be able to download the first chapter . This book has been refreshing since Rebekah is not a science lover. Doing Abeka for the last 2 years at the American school had really burned her out in the area of science. I let her choose which book we began with and she chose the Mammals book.
We have just completed the 3rd chapter. We are working on one chapter a week. Since we started this book late we will probably finish it during the summer. We will post some of the experiments that we do.
Since we are starting school back after 12 days of Spring break and we only have 3 days of school this week we will be just doing experiments and notebooking this week. I will post some pictures of our experiments.
This has been one of the most enjoyable science books that we have used in 8 1/2 years of homeschooling.

Hi ~ we love the Zoology books!! We have done Swimming Creatures, Astronomy and this year we are doing Flying Creatures. They are such wonderful * wonderful * books. I absolutely love how God is given the glory and praise throughout all the books. It's so refreshing! Enjoy your study :)
Blessings, EMichelle

Last year I went to the HS conference with every intention of buying Apologia. I think that was the only purchase I was "sure" of. Well, we looked @ it & none of my bunch wanted it : (. Then the rep told me for an 8th grader to do it we had to be doing Saxon Math, which neither CZ nor I were interested in. I knew I didn't have to do it her way, but she was not going to sell it to me any way except her way. Anyway, we didn't buy it. Claudia does ABEKA science & health (the only A any of us do). The other 3 are doing science we got from Queen HS Resources & Caleb does the CLP Nature Readers. We did buy an experiment kit @ the conference, which was pricey, but we've enjoyed it. Sorry so long!
