It's been a year since I last was here. August 2006 we sold our house, September 2006 we were closing on the house and then Aaron was hospitalized with a lacerated kidney....he has a horseshoe-shaped kidney and because of it's shape and placement it was easily injured when he collided with his sister going down a zipline. By the grace of God he didn't have to have surgery and is doing well. In October, my bil fell off of his ladder while repairing his shop roof and broke his neck. Thankfully he was not paralyzed! My husband Brant helped, along with men from bil's church to put snow tires on the family vehicles, slaughter the cows and pigs and do all the other fall activities that are needed before the snow flies. In November my mil went into the hospital with a staph infection which is very serious for someone like her with artificial heart valves. She fought for three and a half months, but the Lord saw fit to take her home on Feb. 27, 2007. My husband visited her almost every day and the kids and I stopped by several times a week. I was making the arrangements to bring her home to die when she passed. It's been very hard for the family because she was such a wonderful woman, but we are comforted knowing that she is with her creator. On April 11 of this year we were blessed with our newest addition, a sweet baby boy that we named Daniel. He has been such a blessing in the midst of the trials. He's now 2 1/2 months old and the apple of the childrens' eyes. My timer is beeping, so I'll go for now. I hope to write more later.
