Dear citizens of the once great America, have we forgotten where we came from? Do we know why we came here? And do we remember why we broke off from Britain? Was not one of the reasons to get away from the corrupt justice system? Being so, how is it that we’ve let the courts and judges stray so far from where the Constitution placed them? Our once great nation had the best courts in the world, and our judges were the purest. Not so anymore, the judges are using opinion rather than facts. Now I don’t at all mean that all judges are like this, there are probably some good and pure judges somewhere in this once great nation.

Let me tell you how the courts just showed me how they don’t care for the people or the judgment they throw out. This happened to me on March 3, 2008. My father and mother are divorced, and I stay mainly with my mother, so my father pays child support. Now my father has decided he no longer needs to pay child support, because I turned 18 in September, and the law states that after you turn 18 you're no longer a child, so child support is not needed—that is, if the child is not in school. I am still in school, just not in the way my father wants me to be. I’m home schooled.

So when I found out my father was taking my mother to court over it, I sent letters to people I knew, who I thought could testify that I am being schooled. These people I wrote to are mainly educators, so their words should have weight on this matter. Along with that we had a psychological assessment from a school psychologist (with our local school district). Now I had these tests done because I have been learning disabled since I was in 3rd grade. The psychologist noted “His growth is very impressive and he was home schooled during most of the time from the first testing to this fall’s assessment and is no longer considered learning disabled.”

But when my parents went up to see the judge, the judge wouldn’t look at anything we brought. All he looked at was the statement my father wrote. After reading it he said “when you put him in a real school with a real diploma, I’ll return the child support.” And that was pretty much it, he wouldn’t let either one (my mother or father) say anything. Now I'm not writing this because I’m upset with or disagree with what the judge said, I’m writing this to show you how our courts and judges no longer meet the requirements to be a judge and should be reprimanded or relieved of their duties. Help fix our courts, stop sitting around letting people with power get away with abusing their powers, let our government know you won’t take it anymore. This is our country and our government, take it back, and this time let’s keep it.
