So this is my entry to enter this supper sweet home school class of 08, T-shirt giveaway.
Ok so my home schooling experience has been interesting. I started home schooling my 6th grade year, and have loved it ever since. I’ve always wanted to go into some form on ministry, so most of our schooling has had a strong Biblical bass. Our focus has been history (from a Biblical point of view), but of cores we did the other school things too, but I didn’t like those as much, and we didn’t work as hard on them.
Anyway, we were the first people in my family to think of home schooling, and, well, didn’t get really any support from them. Infect they all thought it was the worst idea in the word. But we did it anyway. Infect my dad doesn’t think it good enough (oh, my mom and dad are no longer married, and I live with mom), like he says I’m not being schooled, and he had me emancipated last winter.
Before we started home schooling I was labeled as learning disabled, they said I’m really dyslectic (so if this is hard to read I’m really sorry). The test they gave me, I scored really low on, but this past fall I took the test again (they need to be taken every 5 years), and this one is a new one (so it was harder), and I did really, really well. They say that an improvement of 15 points is extremely significant and doesn’t happen often. Well my score went up 25 points!!! Yes 25, 10 above the extremely significant improvement (the person who gave me the test said she had never seen or heard of anyone improving that much in that amount of time). So needless to say that’s supper sweet.
Now I don’t want to bore you with a bunch of thing like that so I’ll go onto where I’m going from here. I plan on getting my BA in History through College Plus, then transfer to Johnson Bible College and get a BA in Bible study with a specialty in preaching. But I know that there’s not many church’s who want a fresh out of college preacher, so I plan on going back to the Philippians and helping with the church’s in the mountains. And I also want to be certified EMT, to help me in the mission field and also incase I need to have something before become a minister of a church.
So that’s my plans, where I’ve come from, and a little of what I’ve gone though, I know it was a little vague, but I don’t really know what all I should say. I’ve done a lot, won some cool awards and contested, had to deal with friends and family who don’t support us or any home scholars. We have had to re-make my plans because of being home schooled but I like these one better anyway.
Stay Strong In Christ Jesus Our Lord And Savor
