Arminian Grace Dec. 18, 2007

Found this on another website thought I had to share it.

Arminian Grace
(To the tune of Amazing Grace)

Arminian "grace!"
How strange the sound,
Salvation hinged on me.
I once was lost
then turned around,
Was blind then chose to see.

What "grace" is it
that calls for choice,
Made from some good within?
That part that wills
to heed God's voice,
Proved stronger than my sin.

Thru many ardent gospel pleas,
I sat with heart of stone.
But then some hidden good in me,
Propelled me toward my home.

My poor, dead neighbor,
Such a fool!
Didn't choose from sin to flee
I had the sense
to change my heart
But he's not smart -- like me!

When we've been there
ten thousand years,
Because of what we've done,
We've no less days
to sing our praise,
Than when we first begun.

Unfortunately Crosview, It is exactly what Arminian Theology claims, by denying the total deptavity of man and believing that man is not right in his state of sin and not truly dead in thier sins. But teaching one can lose thier salvation once attained then they are denying that God's will is stronger than man's will. No matter what we do we as sinful creatures can not will to be saved only God can choose who will be saved.

I have to say that God wants ALL to be saved. I know that God calls us ALL to Him. There is not one that the Lord hasn't called. But sadly there are a lot who do not listen to God's call. I know that God has put my family where we are to love and witness to my husbands family. Plus my blog is a way I can witness to my family without them closing thier ears. We are never to stop reaching out and loving others in His name and to be a witness.

About Me

I'm a former resident of Nova Scotia, Canada, I relocated to PEI in 2005. I'm married and have 2 adopted children. I am a Reformed Presbyterian and attend the Free Church of Scotland. I live in Middleton, Prince Edward Island, where my wife and I homeschool our 2 children. I run an Online Christian Bookstore. I was raised Roman Catholic, when I was in University I was challenged in my faith over the next few I read Paul's Epistle to the Romans which convicted me enough to know I was on the wrong path, in 1996 I hooked up with Rev. John Shearouse who I had met when I was student and he was part of a student ministry. He had just come back to Halifax, to plant a new Reformed church and I started to attend and made a profession of faith. I have been very active in Federal, Provincial and Municipal Politics, have managed many campaigns and having run as a provincial candidate in 1998.
