Tuesday, July 1, 2008 - finally posting... KITTENS!!! *Ü*

Blackie, on of our cats, has had kittens! Yesterday afternoon me and mom were going to the store to pick up some eggs....(we have some lazy chickens plus one broody hen!) and we walked out on the porch and saw a dead white kitten on the porch! Poor thing... then we saw Blackie was in the flower pot...

She was in labor!!! (UGH!!!!! I didn't know that the kitten was in the background!!! Sorry!!!!! *blah*)

BUT....

she had had another one before that~!!!!!

(She is the same cat that had kittens about a year ago under our chicken coop and abandoned them. Remember? She had two (I think), one was dead and the other was alive, and I *tried* to feed the little kitten?)

  Oh well, We saw that she was in labor and we could see part of the kitten coming out.... Jesse said after we had watched her a while... " Why don't she just stand up and the baby will fall  out?" LOL... that was pretty funny.

  This morning we woke up and she JUST had the other kitten... it was still born!!! Poor Blackie~!!!! She had it out in the sand pile in front of our house... she buried it! Awww...

 This is the LIVE kitten...

  This is about the size of the other kitten that I tried to 'nurse' (We used a 'kitten bottle').  Blackie is feeding it now!

  Hopefully she won't have any more and if she does, it will be healthy and easy to deliver... AND I hope she doesn't abandon this one too!!!
