Taking care of treasures

A God-Filled Life
I was going to blog about some new decorating things I have done this week.   While they were all fun things and some great finds, I think  God wanted to remind me of my true purposes here.   I ran across a blog and stopped to read Titus 2 out of curiosity.   I read that our job is this:   Guide older women into lives of reverence so they end up as neither gossips nor drunks, but models of goodness.  By looking at them, the younger women will know how to love their husbands and children, be virtuous and pure, keep a good house, be good wives.     -Message Bible translation

I looked at that and said hmmm...........I have had a couple of women in my life who were mentors to me and I have learned so much.   I highly recommend praying that God would send a mentor for your life.  I am still a young wife and mother who doesn't get it right the majority of the time.  I am thankful for those people in my life whom God has sent to me, for me.      I pray that someday, I will be able to do the same.

Thank you God for the reminder in your word today!!!!

yes you are so right. I still find my way on my own too I am 26 with two very young girlies. I am always praying that I have wisdom and grace for their lives. I know my failings and am doing my very best. I would love to have a mentor type but everyone is too busy. I read Created to be His Helpmeet by Debi Pearl and that is helpful for being a good wife and for being a mom....I am pleased with our family I am happy for each day. I think that is really important.

I'm an older wife & mother & never had a mentor; I still feel like I need one a lot LOL. Then, I had a late start as a Christian too... blessings, Michele
