Taking care of treasures

May. 8, 2008

Much is going on, here's some......

I haven't posted anything in quite a while.  I haven't had too much to blog about.  We have also been enjoying the weather.  Today we have a rainy day.   It feels like a droopy, veg in the chair reading a book kind of day.  But, I have some things on the calendar.

Noah has speech this afternoon.  He goes to a local school for this.  We have been blessed to have a speech therapist who is very understanding and worked well with us, being different circumstances as far as school goes.  Sometimes that is a scary thing to be involved with the public schools.   But, no pressure or questions from them.   Anyway, she is leaving this particular school after this school year.
They of course are replacing her.  With whom we don't know.  I am hoping that it will go smoothly.  Transitions are difficult sometimes, new people, all of that.   He has 2 more weeks of speech until the school year is over.

I am in the process of becoming licensed to do daycare in my home.   We simply need the income and I will still be able to keep our kiddos at home.  I am preparing for that.  I probably won't start  babysitting until  August.   But, there are a lot of things to do to get that process going.   But, I am getting that ball rolling.  I have a couple of "names" picked out.( just for paperwork really)
One is The Tot Spot or Tiny Treasures.   I think I like the Tot Spot better.

I guess that is all for now.   We need to get the rest of our school work done.

Blessings, Brooke

I watch my baby nephew and am paid for it, there are days when I really wanted to quit....but my husband asked me to keep on for the better of our finances. I am thinking and praying now about wether or not to offer to do it again next year. I am a stay at home mom not doing to much with my pre-school aged children. I wonder if I can offer him a comfortable home...I wonder if I want to ...I am just not sure. It has stretched my patience and helped me to realize a lot about my family that I am grateful for. I train my children but cannot train my nephew, for example and it is a blessing to see the training produce calm, respect and intelligence in my young ones. I also see that not training is still training...I guess we can rejoice and be glad for what we are and where God is leading....:)
