Okay, I'm going to give it to you plain & simple.
A month ago my dear muffer took me to the doctor for a well check. I got two shots & an ouchie blood-sticker-shottie-thingy-in-the-finger-ouch. They found out that I have Scoliosis. I didn't tell you about it then because 1. I only thought I'd have to wear a brace. 2. I ferdot. 3. I wuz BUSEH! 
But, I don't have to wear a brace! (I know what you're thinkin': YAY!)
Um, not yay? I'm going to have to have surgery. It's going to be in around a month or so, depending on when the two surgeony-types can coordinate their schedules.
It's a four hour surgery, involving putting rods in my back, the size of pencils or sommat. I'll be in Intensive Care for the night (Friday night, 'cos that's when they do surgeries) so I can have my own nurse. (I feel loved!) I'll be in the hospital for a week & won't be able to pick up anything that weighs over five pounds for SIX MONTHS. (How will I live?!)
The hospital is going to have a cable TV & a radio & all my friends are gonna visit & -- WHHEEE!
Anyhow, just wanted to drop that by you and let you know that I won't be on for at least a week, probably more than that. I'll let you know the date when I know. If you are so inclined (in other words, please do) pray that everything will go smoothly.
