When I was a kid, a gentleman we know insisted he could help me rid my hiccups. He held out a penny and asked if he could buy them from me. He wanted me to play along. I told him that he could buy them from me. He emphasized that I would not keep them any longer and that when I received the penny, they would not be mine. After giving him the penny, you know, those hiccups were gone!
I've tried this with my kids and it works every time! So, the next time you want to get rid of the hiccups, have someone buy them ;)
