Hi everyone, this will be my last post on my blog. I'm leaving, But - I won't delete this blog, so you can still visit it if you like, But If you leave a comment I probably most likely Will NOT get it, so please be aware of that.  :-D

Special thanks to all the people that have made this blog a very special, and fun place. I remember the day I started My Very first one and only blog. although then My user name was Rellamom and the blog I was sharing with my sister Rose (Now roseleona) was called a searching heart. That was almost a year and a half ago. and that was the best year and a half ever! Oh! all the friends we made, the laughs we had while " typing" to each other and reading each other's posts. (remember Amy Alison and betsy? "Type you later!" :-D ) My first ever blog award, and tag. And All of my template masterpeices and disasters!  Yes there were many an interesting entry as well, as serious, and just plain fun. But as always, every good thing must have an end, and I'm afriad it's time for the farewell of "Kate's Writings."

Thanks for those good times everyone, you're absolutely great! Love you everyone! Bye!

 Sorry for not posting in a while, but I do have a good excuse! NO REALLY, please listen!!!!

     First off, Dad moved the computer desk out of Mom and Dad's room and he had to re hook up all the wires back up. He did something wrong with the Internet wires and so we had to use dial up until they came and fixed them. So, to make a long story short, we now have our DSL hooked back up, so we can finally use the 'faster' Internet!!!!

     Second.... my camera broke. No. kidding. Weeelllll the lens wouldn't come out and guess what? IT WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY!!!! YES!!! We shipped the camera to them and the warranty expired 2-3 days after they received it!!!! PRAISE GOD!!! I'm so happy. We just received it yesterday, so now everyone is joking that I now 'have my baby back', which is somewhat true!!! I really enjoy my camera.

    Did all of y'all have a good Thanksgiving? We did! We went over to my Nana's and Pa's for dinner and just lazied around and had leftovers for supper. It was the first year that my mom had fixed anything to bring over to my Nana's house. It all tasted very good!

       Well, that was a shorter post, but it will do for now. Hopefully since our DSL is hooked back up, I can post more often.

First off, I just wanted to say I'm sort of sad about the election turn outs...  Oh well, after we watched the speeches from Obama and McCain I read my Bible for the night and I read  Psalms 67... It really helped me!

Now for some better news....

 I got a parakeet for my birthday. My birthday was in June except since we were doing the addition we didn't have enough room for it... so mom gave me the money and said that when the addition (on our house) was done I could go get it. I was able to get it last Saturday!!! His name is Captain.

 Isn't he cute? (Just to let you know, he does have two feet, he was just resting on one foot!!!! LOL)

 I've already trained him to 'hop up' on my finger and I *think* it knows how to say "Hey Captain".... or at least that's what it sounded like! (he's said it several times).

Also, I was blessed with a guitar!

The lady that gave it to me said it was an antique... It's VERY nice.

  I had been using one of my dad's guitars before it was given to me so I'm very glad I have one now!!!
