Last Night we had such a beautiful Rosh HaShana service at Church. The Church invited the community to participate in the Eight minutes around the World Shofar blowing for peace. Normally the Shofar is blown sixty times on Rosh HaShana. Eight minutes to insure that at some moment everyone around the world was blowing a Shofar creates Holy Spirit goose bumps.. for Peace. My youngest grandson had a bit of a cold, and a small shofar. Had he been well, he would have made it all eight minutes. As it was he managed to make it five whole minutes, and then had enough energy to dance the Horah around the sanctuary, There is something special when generational lines are broken and grandparents and grandchildren can join hands in public and dance to the Lord. The dancers were magnificent; King David would have been honored to watch them dance for the Lord of Hosts as he had done. One day that trumpet (the Shofar) will blow and we shall be caught up in the air. What a celebration that will be! One Day the Shofar will blow and the virgins will announce the arrival of the Bridegroom. One day, it will be he sweetest sound I know. Today it is a treasure in my heart to cherish; I danced the Horah with Jaden and Malachai. Tirzah took time to remind her Bubbe of the steps and joined our joy. Children learn so much about the Lord in the Celebrations of Feasts that God ordains for the very purposes of teaching the next generation. How blessed are we. L'Shana Tovah!
