I am such a proud Mama
Posted in Bible Study
Tonight my daughter was the guest speaker at a ladie's community dinner. The Theme was Footsteps in the snow. And Heatherly shared about when she was 11 and we lived in New Hampshire. She talked about snow drifts that reached the second story and wind chill factors of 40 below. She talked about delivering the Boston Globe and the Portsmouth Press in three feet of snow. And she mentioned how I went with her and her brother in the wee hours of the morning. I led the way by crunching through the ice layer on the snow and their footsteps stepped into mine. Then my daughter said something very profound, she said," People think their children are suppose to follow in their footsteps, but they are only suppose to step in them. This protects them, it keeps them from falling and getting hurt along the path. Parents are suppose to give their children a path to follow, Biblical Roots are such a path. As long as you walk before them and show them the path they will know where to walk. Kids need paths to show them the way." Did I mention I was a proud Mama? I will sleep well tonight, and you should too because you are blazing a trail. Walk on!

I was born in Keene, New Hampshiere ! I grew up in Washington State but I was born 9 miles from where my daddy was born. I love what your dd said. What a blessing she must be.

About Me
2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
This blog is a homeschooling devotional from a bubbe's point of view or watching the next generation excel where I only succeeded.
