A while back (a few years anyway) I read a book on the Celtic Style of Evangelism. It was an awesome book, but what I remembered most was how they took the natural things of earth and used them to explain God. That is what St. Patrick did with the THREE leaf clover. He used it to explain the Trinity to the nature minded folks around him.
Sometimes we miss the simple by seeking the Theological Orthodox bend of things, filled with Christian-ese when something as simple as a clover will do.
Happy Saint Patrick's Day! In the name of the Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit!

Oh, neato! I know I learned about St. Patrick when I was little but I always forget things... Thanks for poointing that fact out! Maybe the 3 leaf clovers are better than the 4 leaf ones! =)

The pastor at the church we attend was just talking about the history of St. Patrick. I found it very interesting. I enjoyed it because it was a holiday I wondered about the orgin but hadn't studied it out yet. Thanks for sharing.
