Home from my retreat

I am posting this scripture from my retreat. I had a wonderful time with the Lord and will post more on that soon. After visits form my sister, birthday parties and other festivities. Say a prayer for Heather and for timbuck2mom They are going through alot of stuff this week.

Enjoy God's word and fill your hearts with promise.

Psalm 145
1 I lift you high in praise, my God, O my King! and I'll bless your name into eternity. 2 I'll bless you every day, and keep it up from now to eternity. 3 God is magnificent; he can never be praised enough. There are no boundaries to his greatness. 4 Generation after generation stands in awe of your work; each one tells stories of your mighty acts. 5 Your beauty and splendor have everyone talking; I compose songs on your wonders. 6 Your marvelous doings are headline news; I could write a book full of the details of your greatness. 7 The fame of your goodness spreads across the country; your righteousness is on everyone's lips. 8 God is all mercy and grace - not quick to anger, is rich in love. 9 God is good to one and all; everything he does is suffused with grace.

10 Creation and creatures applaud you, God; 11 your holy people bless you. They talk about the glories of your rule, they exclaim over your splendor, 12 Letting the world know of your power for good, the lavish splendor of your kingdom. 13 Your kingdom is a kingdom eternal; you never get voted out of office. God always does what he says, and is gracious in everything he does. 14 God gives a hand to those down on their luck, gives a fresh start to those ready to quit. 15 All eyes are on you, expectant; you give them their meals on time. 16 Generous to a fault, you lavish your favor on all creatures. 17 Everything God does is right - the trademark on all his works is love. 18 God's there, listening for all who pray, for all who pray and mean it. 19 He does what's best for those who fear him - hears them call out, and saves them. 20 God sticks by all who love him, but it's all over for those who don't. 21 My mouth is filled with God's praise. Let everything living bless him, bless his holy name from now to eternity!

Hi friend! I have missed you and your encouragement greatly. I am playing catch up with all of my blog friends...I read all of your entries that I have missed this morning and I have been blessed! I wrote a litte bit about what's been keeping me away on my blog if you want to read it...I'll fill in more detail later. right now I'm trying to respond to the many private messages I had when I logged on this morning! I often think of you...and our similar paths. God is good isn't he? We ended up turning down all job offers and decided to stay put...but to follow Chris' passion with worship and music ministry. We are going to music in the rockies GMA conference and songwriter's competition in August...the Lord has amazingly provided for everything from new recordings, plane tickets....you name it! It is very exciting to see what God has planned for this new season of our lives. During a fast...Chris came to me and told me that he couldn't ignore what the Lord seemed to be repeatedly telling him which was that we could take any of those jobs and move and start over and the Lord would bless us...whether through trial or abundance. But that we had always chosen that road...what man lays out for us clearly...a house, a good salary... what if we turned down all that man was offering us and waited on the Lord to see what He is offering us? For us...a new road to stay put! So far...if nothing else comes of it other than the incredible peace we have as a family...then I am blessed by God! 2 Corinthians 4:18 "while we do not look at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are not seen are eternal."
