Seven Things you do not know about me
Posted in Tags
I have been tagged by Keri to tell you seven things you don't know and may not want to know about me.If you have never been to her blog, go check it out when you desire peace and tranquility, it is sure to deliver it!
Hmmmm...
#1 I was a mom's worst nightmare as a teenager. I was onced picked up for a date in a stolen car. (It was a REALLY nice car
)
#2 I knew my husband for three days when he asked me to marry him and said yes!
We were 16 and 17 years old when we got married.
We not only had to have our parents permission, but had to get permission from a judge as well. Isn't it amazing that a teenager would have to ask the courts AND their parents for permission to marry, but not for an abortion.....
#3 Yes this is your commercial break...
I have an e-book called Adventures Along the Way , which is a sequel to Encouragement Along the Way. Encouragement along the Way was the first book Gregg Harris published besides his own; which gave birth to Noble Publishers.
#4 I lived in Italy for three years! Yes I loved it. Every moment of it and If I had to live anywhere but here, it would be there
#5 Our family was Awarded twice the Great American Family Award at the Base and Command levels. I had two certificates, one signed by Nancy Reagan and one by Barbara Bush. Both were lost in Hurricane Andrew.
#6 My husband once said after a teaching on the Rich Young Ruler that he was certain He could give up EVERYTHING to follow Jesus. Two weeks later Hurricane Andrew made him prove that!! We left Homestead with two children three towels three changes of cloths and our little red Hyundai! Do you know that sometimes the hardest trial you face is really someone elses trial?
How weird was it to turn on the TV and hear someone say "Homestead does not exist!"
# 7 I died once! Which brings to question the verse "Just as man is destined to die once.... " Does that mean I get to wait until the rapture?
Actually when I was 24 (once again a case when your trial may really be someone elses) I had a hysterectomy because of Cancer. The doctor failed to seal one of my arteries after the surgery and I was out of recovery and in my room bleeding to death before a nurse "just happened" to come by and check my blood pressure 60/40
4 pints of blood and being dead for five minutes later... I was a believer and at peace with going to the Lord, my husband was not a believer and alone in the waiting room. He would become a believer four years later!!!!!! But he did learn this is why people should never be alone in waiting rooms at hospitals.
So my tags are people you may not know but I think you may enjoy knowing even if they do not do the tag, their blogs are awesome!
These are my seven tags. Go and visit them and say Hello from me. and any other of my friends as well, they are all awesome!

Bobbie, my blog is a tag-free zone, except when I want to do the tag, ha ha! I don't think I can come up with seven things about me that are nearly as interesting as YOUR seven things... Maybe I will give this one a try.
PS I also like Hinds' Feet :o) Little Miss Much Afraid, that's me!

That is all so very interesting!
You lived in South Florida?
We lived in Fort Lauderdale.
After Hurricane Andrew we drove down to Homestead.
I have pictures. It was a disaster!
How did you end up in California?
How did I wind up in California, Keri?
First I wound up at Homestead because we were 20 years military. I never returned, you are braver than I. Andrew blew us to Colorado where my husband retired from the military and became a pastor (He really could leave everything for the Lord). We went to Maryland for a few years to help a new church for a few years, and God called us home. Yep California is his Home town, because he needed to be here to help out his dad and wait on the Lord. When we came back we had five generations here until his grandfather passed away.
WHEW!
I am tired just reading it!
