Yesterday, my daughter, Heatherly was speaking at a Women's group at a local church. she was sharing her husband's vision for this area and how they celebrate various Jewish feasts and why. She says she has a new standard of measurement now, an elderly gentleman asked to join the group when he discover she was their speaker and she made him cry.
She giggled when he introduced himself as Mr Fleishman, and then said he has a Jewish background. (hee hee still makes me giggle) I would love to tell you all she shared about, but I was ot there
so I did not hear her.
Instead I spent the afternoon with her six sweet children.
part of that time was spent in the hottub!
We also planted some of the plants Mike bought me for my birthday. I love handing kids spoons, dirt and plants and seeing what develops. I know have hanging strawberry baskets, a hanging basket with "Holy Basil" (it smells like cloves) and climbing rosemary, a strawberry hill and various plants seeking sunlight areas to grow in because I live under a canopy of oaks and cedars.
We have a galvanized tub that will be our herb garden (again seeking sunshine) with Sweet Basil Purple basil, Italian Parsley, Oregano, Provence Lavender and Rosemary. My veggie Garden has spinach, radishes, zucchini, garlic and tomatoes (Brandywine, early girl, Aces and Purple Russian) I still need peppers and cucumbers.
My favorite plants are a climbing Hydrangea which will have white flowers and can grow 30 feet high! And a climbing confederate star Jasmine because it will grow outside my livingroom window and make my home smell delicious.
Today, I think we will pull out the wheel barrow and move rocks from a fairy circle which I did not make, but has these non flowering Iris type thingys in it, that I am removing. We will line the driveway with the river rock instead and consider planting a couple fruit trees there, cuz I need more trees
Heatherly has to be without her car all day since it is going to the mechanic, so we get to spend the day together today as well. It will be especially long for the younger ones as this evening the girls also have Bat Mitzvah classes.
I hope you find a way to bring your school outside today. There is so much to learn out there.
