From Sevens to Eights
I’ve been tagged by SoCalVal to list 8 random things about me. This is a great way to get to know each other! I like tags I really do. I know some of you have tag free zones, so if you do and you still think you might want to do this one, go ahead Try it. You might like it.
Here are the rules:
1. Each player starts with eight random facts/habits about themselves.
2. People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their eight things and post these rules.
3. At the end of your blog, you need to choose eight people to get tagged and list their names.
4. Don't forget to leave them a comment telling them they're tagged, and to read your blog.
#1. I was born in Canada. My parents didn’t have me Naturalized at the time. So when I went to get a Passport, I was the Passport agent’s worse nightmare. My husband had to bring home the book from Pass and ID to figure out how I could get an American Passport.
#2. I had to leave America to find Jesus! Really, I got saved in Italy. America had too many Distractions. God set me in a horse and buggy Italian town where the only American within five miles was a NEW BABY CHRISTIAN! I was her target. Praise God! How she put up with the unsaved me was truly the grace of God. 30 years later, she still writes me atleast once a month.
#3. I am allergic to the SKIN of a mango. Not the flesh, I love the flesh. But the Mango is related to the Poison Ivy Family and just the splash of the oils when you cut one open will blister my skin.
#4. I am a Pastor’s wife without a Church. The Lord has us home to be near Mike’s dad. He went through a horrendous divorce last year that dragged out for three years. She (the ex-wife) is a Meth Addict and she was very Abusive. Mike needed to be here. I am so excited to be teaching a Bible Study in the fall, but I so miss listening to my beloved preach. In God’s Time!
#5. I have a Teapot collection. Maybe I will take a picture of them for Show and Tell Friday. I have enough Tea for One pots to have a Tea party for all seven of my Grandchildren.
#6. I have been raped three times in my life, all before I was 16 years old. I lost my virginity at 12 years old. The third time I became pregnant. She was aborted. It was easier to forgive the rapist, than myself.
#7. I loved being an Air Force wife for 20 years. I miss base housing because the Military community is more than just a neighbor, it is a family.
#8. I think you have to have to move every two years. We just bought our first home 19 months ago…I am worried about what I will do in 7 more months! Moving is Spring cleaning to me!
Okay….Now between the sevens and the eights, you know 15 New things about me.
So who do I tag? I have to tag eight people that have not already been tagged...pressure! Let's see.... Tracy, because she says she needs something new to blog about, she said so; Canadagirl, cuz she tags me all the time; Passion for Purple because I am enjoying getting to know her; Keri because she says it in pictures and I love her pictures; Tiany because when I did my sevens about Hurricane Andrew, she had been a Rescue worker there; Fish in My Hair because she makes me laugh really hard; sahmto4orMore because she inspires me; and lastly Babymakers because she makes me defend my faith and think about what I truly believe.
I have so many friends here at homeschool blogger that I want to get to know ALL of you!!! If you do participate (no pressure), please let me know... I want to come and get to know you.
If I didn’t tag you this time…I will next time! Or somebody already bet me to it!

Hi Bobbie. Definately interesting! I didn't know you were from Canada...and I didn't know you collected tea pots. On my retreat my mom and I went to the most amazing tea time place...I bet you would have loved it. It was very ornate with girlyness and overflowing with boa's, hats, jewels...all of which were there for playing dress up during tea. We were served a three tier platter of delicate treats, homemade scones and of course our choice of tea in beautiful tea pots and cups. The owners were christian sisters that had a vision for a different kind of ministry and they had posted scripture all over the tables. A very neat experience!

I am an Air Force brat! My Dad was active duty for 27 years. I loved living in base housing. I noticed the difference in community as soon as my parents bought their first home in Biloxi, MS.
My Dad retired as an E-9. When he died in September an Honor Gaurd from North Dakota was flown in to honor him with a military funeral. The federal buildings along the route from the church to Ft. Snelling all had their flags at half mast.
My uncle's neighbor and the bugler from the honor gaurd played Echo Taps. I don't think I will ever listen to that music again without crying.
Thanks for visiting my blog. I think in this comment you can learn 8 new things about me!
