Pictures from the Fair on Friday
Posted in Grandchildren
We really did love seeing the baby animals. I am such a city girl with strong farm girl wannabe tendencies. This is Tirzah with the Minature horses.

Jaden, Malachai and Zemeira love this pup sized pony.

This is the swiss milking calf . She is so lovely.

This is the 1st twin calf
Mommie with her twins...so cute!

Calf #2

The stars of te Big Top!

And the Sea Lions which made Talia giggle.

We had such a good time. The next fair is in August, and hopefully ribbons will follow. They were to late to put their talents in this fair, except for the Spinning exhibit. We shall see what follows!

Was this a county fair? It looks great! We have always skipped the county fair in favor of the State Fair ~ It looks like you had a lot of fun. How cool are those seals?

What a fun day you had! Your fairs look so much more interesting than ours. We also only have one. I think the blizzards of winter have something to do with that. God bless.

That looks like so much fun!!!! Neat pictures -
Ok, so here are replies to your comments. We are studying through the book of Matthew in our small group - though we are going to change to something else at some point....
When hubby took me to italy the first time I told him he could leave me there and come pick me back up before time to move back to the US. I loved it!!!!! And since then I rarely eat out at any italian restaurants...it jut doesn't compare to what I can make and what I tasted in Italy!!!
Thanks for the kind words about my past. I do sometimes have traumatic moments when sometimes happens to my children that brings back memories....like when THomsa broke his arm...
My hubby knows some of what happened. My kids know nothing about it and my family (parent and siblings) deny what happened so when I talk about it I have to be careful that it doens't get back around to them or things will blow up!
more replies in hte next post....

What great pics! It looks like you had a great time! Say, I went to your website and discovered you are an author, too. So am I. I write kids' books--a historical adventure series for tweens (8-12), Circle C Adventures. So...you're a homeschooler, farm-life gal, AND an author. Same here. Busy, busy....

I was a city girl with farm girl wanna be tendencies. Look at me now! I have now lived out in the country for nearly 11 years. We don't have any farm animals yet, but I was offered some cows today from MajorMom. LOL. Do mice count as a farm animal? Thanks for visiting my blog. It's nice meeting you, and since you stopped by twice I felt like that constituted friendship, so I added ya. Looking forward to many shared blessings.

That entire event sounds like so much fun! You mention being entered into the event for ribbons next time... is it much like a 4H type thing? (Or typical county fair where you enter in to win ribbons as such?) I am through the moon for having found a 4H program here in town that I'm going to get the kids signed up for next school year. Thanks for sharing such wonderful pictures! The sheer joy on the faces of the children are so awesome to see and the pics of the animals are great! Hope you are having a wonderful week! We're so busy I nearly had a passing out episode today.... but I think it's more the heat than anything. O'well. Have a very blessed weekend!!!! Peace, T

Jun. 1, 2007 - Books

Oh, you listed me as your friend. I am so excited! I think I'm starting to "get" how to get around on these blogs. In answer to your question, I have 2 books in my series out right now and one under contract. Believe this is you will, but the first one, Andrea Carter and the Long Ride Home, is available from the Old Schoolhouse Store. It was a shock to see it there, I tell you! The ages are for about 8-12, but I know both 7-year-old readers who enjoy it as well as some 15 year olds. A truly "homeschool audience" adventure. :-)
If you would like you can go to my "Wholesome Books for Kids" link on my blog and that takes you to my website where folks can read the first chapter of each book in the series.
Hey, thanks for asking! I'll be around to visit when you post again!

Well, I guess I don't have the blogsphere down quite yet! That anonymous post just above me is actually ME. I forgot to LOG IN. Oops. So whatever I said up there is actually from me.
So sorry. Forgive my "newbie-ness."
