I just received a plane ticket from my sister  today to come visit her for six days around the end of the month. I am so excited about going to see her. A vacation at her house is like going on retreat. I get to go to her small group, her bible study and to Saddleback for Sunday services! Woo Hoo!

Once I went to visit her and we went on a Day Missions experience put on by Wycliff Ministries. We found ourselves thrown into a Chinese prison (pretend) our passports confiscated and singing God's Praises at the tops of our lungs like Paul and Silas.

Now she really does go to China and smuggles in Bibles. But she has never been thrown in prison for doing so, she would need me with her for that to happen! Once her drop off was being guarded by police, so she couldn't leave her package. But God had a plan! She wound up meeting a young lay pastor in an out of the way village that longed to go to Seminary but could not go and had no study materials, just his Bible. She gave him her package. And what do you think was in it??? Every Pastoral tool you could imagine. Encyclopedias dictionaries, commentaries and Bibles. EVERYTHING a young pastor would need.  God is so awesome.

This visit will be short, but it will be just what the Lord ordered. I am so excited!
