Guess what I did last night?
Posted in Tags
So to day is tag me Tuesday and although I would love to tell you seven random things about me bcause I could probably do that one over and over and still have something to share. Instead I thought I would share with you what I did yesterday.
I was invited by a friend to come and be her labor coach! Yep Last might when you were sitting around the dinner table I was saying, "Great job!" And doing a lot of heavy breathing. It was a very quick delivery. She was induce So we waiting a long time for contractions to begin, but once they did she went from 3cm to 7 cm to delivery in an hour and 9 minutes.
Her husband, home with three very active liilte boys expected to be there for the delivery. But from the time she was at seven and I was on the phone saying come, she was in transition! Needless to say, daddy did not cut the cord, mommie did.
She delivered a very hungry 7lb.8oz. boy. Nursing is his expertise! All the meen arrived together and were so very pleased with the added testosterone to the household. They are all so adorable. I may have done very lttle but even today, I am exhausted!
I love how the Lord allows me to be a part of this amazing miracle time and again. I never ask, somehow it just happens. And There I am panting with the best of them.

Very cool!
I love the miracle of birth. I know i will begin to dread it here in about two months, but it really is such a wonderful and amazing time. You are blessed to have been part of it for this lady.

How exciting! I love watching a birth. It is so much more amazing when I'm on the other end. Less of a distraction when you are not the one in pain!
Blessings,
Hallie

That is so great! What a blessings you are to make yourself available to these mommies.
I was blessed to help coach my sister through her labor about 3 months ago, right up until the last few pushes. And although I didn't get to stay for her delivery (Dad wanted it to be just mommy and daddy in the room, well, and all the med staff, oh well!) we have a special bond, my little "Malie" and me! It also helped strengthen my relationship with my sister! What a blessing!
Blessings!

That would be so cool. I would love the experience of watching a baby be born. I really didn't get to see either of mine be born, b/c stupid me chose the all natural birth with no drugs. Duh Lori! LOL. Maybe someday. Glad you were a blessings to mom.
Blessings,
Lori

How lucky and blessed you are and how blessed she must feel to have had you there! My mother waited in the L&D room with my sister when she was giving birth to her first because my BIL was running late (he was on duty when she went into labor and had a hard time getting off duty). So my mom got to see my neice be born (BIL made it JUST in time). Congrats to the entire family and many blessings to the new mama and daddy! T
