This verse was not written for the USA it was God's words to Solomon concerning the Building of the Temple in Isreal. However, we are now the Temple God resides in and His word is still true today in our own hearts.
2 Chornicles 7
14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15 Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.
May the Lord guard and keep us free. May His Word guide the actions of our leaders and tose He places over us as leaders. May the pulpit remain a place where God's truth can go forth across our Nation with out fear of repercussions and may those called to proclaim it do so with Love and grace on their tongues. May humility guide us as we go forward knowing grace alone has set us free and may the Lord guard and protect those in our Military that guard and protect our freedoms. amen
I watched two shows today...Yankee Doodle Dandy with James Cagney and Army Wives. As I watch George M. Cohan receive the Congressional medal of Honor for the song "Over There" I listened to the lyrics "So prepare, say a prayer,
Send the word, send the word to beware We'll be over, we're coming over,
And we won't come back till it's over over there.
And I wondered when we lost our dedication to our soldiers. And then I watched Army Wives and heard the best Pro-Military speech I have heard in ages.
Maybe it really is just the news that doesn't get it!
To Freedom and to those that keep it secure, God Bless you!
For an Update: HeatherLee was spinning at the Dogtown Faire on July 4th. Here are pictures of us looking at her
And her looking at us. Her dad is holding the snowcone, her grandpa Al is sitting in the chair.
Happy Independence Day!
