This was a big topic of discussion at my dh's family reunion Sunday, as quite a few of them are world travelers. To me, it is all just hype to get more tourists. OK, I am synical, I know. I am not a traveler. I like North America. I like living here. I have no desire to go globe trotting, spending precious money that would be better spent on missions or other things here.

My Daughter saw the pyramids of Giza on her Mission trip. And they are quite a wonder. My Sister walked the Great Wall of China smuggling Bibles. And all of them show up in Historty books. As to the Natural wongers, I believe Most of them are in America, That is why I vote. Our Redwoods are amazing , The Grand Canyon is another as is Death Valley. Mt kilauea is also part of America and the Glaciers in Alaska. I think this is the perfect way to Remind the World how amazing North American wonders are.

I see we are kindred spirits, Bobbie. Yes, I just love this continent. I have been to Alaska and think it to be one of the most lovely places on earth. I also, as you know, am in love the the Great Lakes. I have too seen the Redwood Forest and would agree with you there! They were amazing! Someday I plan to RV across Canada as well. But now that we need a passport to do so, I don't know! (Just kidding.)

I don't think this fits in any of the categories on the website, but I would have to vote for a newborn baby's bottom as one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
Is there anything more soft and precious?
Love
Amanda

for visiting my blog and for your kind comments! Especially about my letter to my DS.
Y'know what, I cannot remember what the plants in the pictures of the greenhouse are! But I do know that they are very busy growing pointsettias right now. And they have fall mums too, but I'm pretty sure they are not in the hanging baskets. LOL
I have a very cool little book about the Seven Wonders that I picked up a CBD for el cheapo - The Seven Wonders of the World by Ron Tagliapietra. He gives all the info about the different sets of wonders (ancient, technological, natural, etc) and presents Biblical viewpoint - for instance the story in Acts where Paul is shouted down at the Artemis Temple, which was one of the ancient wonders. Check it out!
Blessings,
Kym
