How could I forget Show and Tell Friday? Perhaps it ws the Midnight calls I received Thursday? The first one was from a friend of a family member that I had never met but since she could not reach the person she needed, I was the next best thing. Her story would later be completely contradicted my the family member in question, but when alcohol is involved the truth is always up for grabs.
This was followed by a phone call from my daughter in law letting us know that they are all doing well in answer to my email and that our son had just recently gotten out of the hospital after being there for five days because of Kidney stones.
My son eventually got on the phone and mumbled something about not wanting to worry us. I keep wondering how TC would address this? Something like if you didn't want me to worry why tell me now? Or didi you bring them home so I could at least us them for Show and Tell Friday?
Alas Instead there was I love you and you know you can call anytime about anything and added (because that is what mom's do) perhaps if we had known we could have been praying for a speedy (not five days) recovery.
I am so glad they called even if it was late because I love hearing from them and I like knowing how they are all doing. Kayla is getting ready to start school and they are hoping to be getting her into the better of the two in their area. Since she has only adults in her life and doesn't go to Sunday School or Awanas this will hopefully be a very good experience for her. Maye she will make a best Friend.
So I had a show and tell planned , but me on the Tube flying through the air is on my sister's camera in Houston and she is in Huntington Beach visiting my mom this week end! Maybe next week I will make it in. I haven't even had a chance to see all of ours that are up yet. Perhaps that will be my Sunday blog reading time.
Tonight we are having Taco night with all six grandchildren while Heatherlee and Sam go out to dinner. His parents are thinking of retiring in this area so they ( Sam's Parents) are apt hunting this week end as well. So I think the kids' date may turn into a double date. Heatherlee will need much prayer if they do move out here. After 13 years and six children Sam's dad is still quick to tell Sam his ex-girlfriend is now divorced in front of my daughter. He also is quick to remind Sam that first wives always leave! Yesterday was Sam's Dad's birthday and they drove out completely unannounced leaving Sam's brother's house in Minn. after a couple days to say they are in Nevada and will be here in a few hours. So please pray for my sweet daughter and her husband as his parents decide what they will do next. In the meantime, I am making tacos!
