Show and Tell Friday
Posted in Tags
Show and Tell Friday is hosted by Canadagirl. It is a lot of fun and most people actually have there posts up by Friday morning. But here it is 10:00 PM and I am going to get my Show and Tell in on time! SO here it is.
I love Flat Stanley. There is a book about Flat Stanley that you can find at your Library. Because Flat Stanley is flat he fits perfectly in an envelope and can travel anywhere! Training Hearts took Stanley into the 21st century and made him Virtual. Once we got him through cyberspace and on to the paper tray of our printer, a little pale but nothing a marker couldn't spruce up, we were ready for an Adventure.
The First place Stanley wanted to go was the Blackberry patch behind Great grandpa's house. Now we told him the thorns might rip into him and the the rattlesnakes are particularly active this year, but you know boys. Here he is somewhat tangled in the Bush but surrounded by berries. They will make a lovely cobbler. There are not enough for jam this year.

Malachai and Jaden noticed Flat Stanley and invited Him to play with the Lincoln Logs. It was their very own house raising!

The completed home brought smiles to all their faces, especially Flat Stanley. He is a little shy and doesn't talk much. I am certain it is because the boys do not yet speak Binary. But He is ALWAYS smiling!

Sometimes words are not needed to express satisfaction.
Flat Stanley was granted an Audience with the resident Princess and was treated as the gallant knight he is. Princess Zemeira even posed for the obligatory photo shoot!

Princess Zemeira also allowed Flat Stanley a priviledged reserved for the most honored guests, a ride on the newly acquired VBS Flamingo named Rosemary. My heart over flowed with Joy for Flat Stanley's once in a life time Audience with the Royal family.

Flat Stanley was feeling a little bit Like Gulliver Surrounded by so many Giants. So Kezziah took him to meet the Little People.

He really enjoyed the rousing Tic tac Toe match held in the East Garden. Oh that match has been known to go on for days at a time.

Later that evening Flat Stanley gathered some herbs from our garden and made the most scumptious pasta dish. I am thinking it is something his mama used to make in to old country.

He really really wanted to add some squash to the dish...but alas there is none.

If you want squash you have to go to Canadagirl's blog where she has so much she is pickling it!
Virtual Flat Stanley is having such a great time. I am hoping he gets to go to Shabbat Services tomorrow with the kids.
Hey I made it, it is stiil Friday! happy Show and Tell!
P.S Poor Flat Stanley.....it seems he over slept and missed Shabbat Services. He couldn't find HisTallis, his kipa nor his Tanakh so we let him sleep. It seems six grandchildren can wear out a Flat Stanley. He will go to Hebrew class on Tuesday and Dance Class as well. I wonder what His Hebrew Portion will be for His Bat Mitzvah? Stay tuned....

How funny you mention this and my best friend mentioned it to me yesterday! We're both going to do this with our children this year because both of us have family and friends in so many locations that it's going to be a GREAT geography lesson as well! Thanks for sharing and giving some great ideas!!! Hope you have a blessed weekend!

Cute, cute, cute! Thanks for the encouraging words you left for me. What a great ministry that those young ladies had. I would greatly benefit from something like that! Sometimes it would just make my entire week if I was able to go on a date with hubby. But, time and lack of funds often keeps us from going on many dates, so instead of once a week, (which I really need) we usually have one about once a month. I also tried to help out young mothers when I was a teen, and boy, I did not know how much it was appreciated! I think life is so busy for everyone, teens included, that helping out others has become a lost art. Have a great weekend!

I confess I was lost as I weaved my way through Flat Stanley's adventures. But he brought a smile to my face and I loved your pics. Please don't laugh, but I don't know what a "Flat Stanley" is. I guess I've been reading the wrong blogs lately and am out of the loop. :-)

Sorry, Bobbie, I meant to share our delights but forgot. Then I read Kristy's blog and remembered. The kids had luscious chocolate-covered donuts and the baby had a snickerdoodle cooky. Marla and I had....ooooh....so rich...some kind of fudge inside cooky bar. It was huge (my lunch). I was pigging away so much I forgot what Kristy had (besides her diet pepsi...coke?)
The Blk. Diamond Bakery is a tourist trap that is worth finding!

Flat Stanley is very lucky to have been in such fine company! Hey, thanks for the book suggestion. We go to the Library on Tuesdays, so we will have to look it up. If they don't have it there, I do have an account at CBD. Thanks!
Blessings,
Lori
