I have been tagged by a new friend her blog is Raising Three Little Men!I really am enjoying getting to know her and her family. I will try my best at answering the questions, it has been a while for some of these :)

1.What is your school's name and why?

We actually had two names for our school. The first was Our Shepherd’s Garden Academy because we wanted to grow in His garden and not the world’s.As they matured, they wanted their school to as well. It was called Genesis High School, because in the Beginning there was school at home.

2. How is your weather today?

Way too hot for a girl that loves winter. We are having a drought and could use a little of the Midwest or Texas rains.I am sure you would love to send it this way as well.

3. What steals your joy?

I know what ATTEMPTS to steal my joy, Knowing that loving someone and teaching them to love the Lord with all their hearts; cannot make them walk in His ways when they leave home. God’s promises restore my joyand that is what matters most.

4. Name 5 blessings you received this week.

    1. Cynthia, Charlie and Annie came to visit on their way to and from visiting their daughter in Oregon.

    2.I was asked to speak at the Community Christian Women’s night out on the sixth, and I already wrote my outline instead of waiting until the last minute.

    3.Four of my Grandchildren spent the night last night and most of today with me. I love when they spend the night!I will post more on that tomorrow.

    4.I got a card from my Secret Sister today. She really does encourage me right when I need it..Thanks!

    5. My FIL rented out a commercial building to a charter school. They closed down this month and moved to a new location. They threw away MY FRIDAY SHOW AND TELL. Wait until you see what I have!!!!! I'm sure I will have more blessings before the ending of the week!

May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O Lord, my Rock and my Redeemer.  Is because I really want my words to be well seasoned and flavored with grace.

Psalm 34:3

             Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt his name together. Because that was the cry of my heart until Mike finally gave his heart to the Lord.

2Corinthians 1:3-5

              Those are my life verses and is God’s answer to “why” in my life.

 6. Who in the Bible do you think you are most like?

I know someday I will be like Jesus because the Bible says so. I love Dorcas and doing for others and I hope we are like Priscilla and Aquila.Maybe Job because God truly has restored everything to me.

7. The passage of scripture you read last was:

Luke 15:9 And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, 'Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.

There is a custom that when a woman is married the coins for her dowry are fashioned into a headdress. If a woman lost a coin from this it was thought she was unfaithful, like loosing your wedding ring could arouse the same type of suspicion. If this were the case, her rejoicing at finding a lost coin would be so great indeed.

8. Have you ever praised God for something weird?

Weird to you or weird to me? Praising God that the glint of gold in my daughter’s gums is just a sequin the dentist can remove? Or maybe praising God that when a blister formed over Matthew’s eyeball , he didn’t get a pin and pop it? Or That when Matthew said " I know what I am doing...He really did!"

9. If you were making a greeting card for God, what would you say?

I am sure Hoops and Yoyo would be on it! And it would say “was that suppose to be funny? I thought so. Glad I laughed! And glad YOU laughed too.” Hey Next time can I help design the Platypus?

10. What is the best miracle God has performed in your life, or what is you favorite answered prayer?

Every one that He said Yes to and some He said no to! Having a friend from High School run in to me years later and say”You’re a Christian? If I would have thought there was ever a person that couldn’t be saved I would have bet it was you.” That is a miracle.

11. What is the most fun thing you have done lately?

I went to tea where my daughter was the guest speaker. Seeing the Lord use her as a Titus 2 Woman  teaching women His Word most of who were older than me….What an awesome moment that was.

12. How did you choose your screen name?

That is easy…It is the Name of my First Book… Encouragement Along The Way. It is what I pray my legacy is, that I Encouraged you along your journey.
